Very disappointed in this charter was very excited to fish KeyWest in hopes for hooking a tarpon or bonefish. 4 hour trip cost me $450: caught one baby snapper. I caught more off the dock at our camp site than on a paid charter.

Great day fishing with Mike! Although the season, tides and weather were not in my favor to land any real monsters, I had an amazing time out on the flats pulling a variety of fish. This was my first time saltwater fly fishing and Mike did an awesome job showing me the basics and honing my double haul cast. I am a better angler because of his mentoring. If you are coming to Key West to fly fish, look no further!

The real deal when it comes to the sport of Key West...going for the king of it all - Tarpon - takes a master guide. Book a week if you can and soon you'll be fishing like an expert and you'll sense when the week is up that you've been with your father, your brother and your son all in one. Leave your attitude and your expectations at the dock for Mike has seen it all and has little time for insincerity. That said, if you have an instinct or an idea, Mike is game to please. Trust his eyes and his feel for the water and if you care to learn something, you will. When it comes to the wisdom of the water, Mike is a wellspring. If all you want is numbers, go on a big boat. If you want to stalk the regal king of fish on a fly rod especially.... schedule time with Mike Wilbur. You'll keep coming back to the real deal.
