Had him do some exhaust repair on the car. I supplied all of the needed parts. As I'm a disabled auto mechanic myself, I was not impressed with his work or how he conducted himself via on the phone or in person. Nor was I impressed with the fact that he charged $135/hr. in labor, and an itemized receipt is not included.
I supplied two hardened metal bolts and four washers for needed install. What he used instead was two cheaper softer metal bolts and two washers. Not only should this not have been done, but he should have given me back my parts that he didn't use, which includes the gasket he didn't use. When I called to confront him of the over-charge for charging 75 minutes of labor to do a 20 minute job and stealing my parts that I paid for, he supplied no answer and hung up on me. Also not happy that he lied to me when he said the rear flange was "rotted all away", when I knew it wasn't, and he was able to use those cheaper bolts through said flange after the fact. When he called me to tell me this, he said he wanted to replace just shy of my whole exhaust system. And to that, I believe he has done this sort of thing to thousands of people before, and to that I believe him to be a scammer. When the car was done he couldn't even bother to call my wife to let her know as such. Which impacted her afternoon greatly.

While on a road trip with my family, I found one of my tires slowly leaking air and basically needed a plug before I did major driving with it. After stopping by 2 other bigger tire specialty shops to try to get it repaired at 8 in the morning, this shop was the only place around out who could help me. The owner and mechanic were very friendly and super helpful in fixing this while I got some coffee.
This fairly minor fix really helped our trip be less stressful. Many thanks again to you!
