      image We stayed here October 2023 and got the best night's sleep we ever had; I still talk about it to this day. We didn't have high expectations for Kennebunk in general since we were using it as a rest stop on our drive up to Acadia & Bar Harbor, but quite honestly I'd go back to Kennebunk before I went back to Acadia or Bar Harbor and I'd stay here again when I did. The hotel looks like they took an old motel setup and gutted everything, so it's very clean and more modern than you'd expect. The continental breakfast was good, and it looked like they had a screened-in area out back to eat if it was a bit warmer. It was also on the main road which was nice because we saw the signage that the town was having a fall festival the next morning, so we stayed for that.

      image Our first bed bug experience. DO NOT STAY HERE but if you must, check the mattress for bed bugs. My husband woke with blood all over the sheets and bites. When we looked, we saw the bugs! Never, ever have we had this experience and all management could do was tell us they held high standards of cleanliness. They offered no remuneration or apology. Their breakfast was not as others have reviewed it to bewaffles, really? There was a very limited offering. No manager overnight either which they said was on our website..our stay was one of convenience only and we have paid dearly for this since we had to heat everything (with a hot hair dryer) we brought into this room to kill any hitchhikers. A horrible way to end Thanksgiving.

      image The pool was FILTHY full of mold and grease, the service was god awful Jimmy i think hes name was or someone starting with J was awfully rude to me and my wife. The location is terrible it was always boiling hot and no way to get comfortable. The rooms had no air-con and no fans i was sweating my balls off.
