Step Ahead Foot and Ankle Clinic in Kalispell, MT is one of the finest offices I have ever visited. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Fiala is one of the kindest most caring doctors I have ever been attended by. I recommend them 100%.

My wife broke her foot and went to an urgent care facility, where she was x-rayed and given a sandal-type shoe to wear. She was somewhat content, but thought seeing a specialist might be in order since she felt a little hurried through the urgent care. We are SOOOOO glad we went to see Dr. Fiala. The staff, from the receptionist to the assistants to Dr. Fiala were absolutely top-notch. They had to juggle the schedule to get her in on short-notice, but did so happily. We were stunned by the patience displayed by every single staff member. They all even stayed late past their normal closing-time and you wouldn't have known by how patient and caring they were. We found that the break was worse than had originally been diagnosed by the urgent care and that the sandal-type shoe she had been given was insufficient for her to heal properly. The Doctor prescribed a boot-style splint to immobilize her foot completely, and took time to answer ALL of her questions patiently despite being in the office after closing time. I can't say enough about how we felt cared for by the staff. The doctor was top-notch - he explained his findings, what to expect, addressed concerns for long-term healing and care, and was patient in answering questions. Don't second-guess yourself if you're asking, "should I see a specialist or not?" Know confidently that if you go to Step Ahead Foot and Ankle, you will get first-class care.

They are not considerate of patients time but patient should show up 30 min. before the scheduled appointment to be considerate of Dr.s time. Not right!
Respect goes both ways.

Dr. Fiala and his staff are really great. Everyone is nice and helpful. After years of being in pain, I’m grateful Dr. Fiala has gotten me healed up.

Don't go see her. Terrible bedside manner, 10 minute new patient time slot, did not address my concerns. I had this appt for 1 month and 1/2 or so and took the day off for it and she was going to see me for 10 minutes. Ridiculous! Also, she sold her practice and no one mentioned that to me. If I were to make a followup appt , she wouldn't be there to see me. I thought it very odd they would not mention that. I would definitely not recommend this physician.
