The Holy Redeemer process (I'm diabetic )
1) Pay and meet with your primary care physician (pay co-pay & lose 1/2 day of work)
2) Primary care physician prescribes your medication.
3) Cannot get prescription filled until you now meet with a Holy Reddemer physician (what was the purpose of meeting and paying for your primary physician then?) because your medication is on a certain list.
4) Holy Redeemer Dr. can take weeks to get an appointment.
5) Primary care physician cannot believe that Holy Redeemer is making me wait for a script that is absolutely needed.
6) I currently have had no diabetis medication in over 2 weeks now because of the hoops that Holy Redeemer wants their patients to jump through.
7) Im typing this while sitting in the ER of a hospital because my blood sugar levels are so extreme and unbalanced.
8) Malpractice lawyer is meeting with me in the ER to go over details.
9) Ill post an update if Im not in a coma
10) So far every doctor Ive seen cannot believe the Holy Redeemer process.

Where do I start, I really wanted to give this hospital five star because I had a great experience. It was just some things. I didnt really like about them like for example parking is very hard you actually have to pay if you want to park, also, I was there to give birth, and so after I gave birth, my husband was with me and he wasnt allowed to eat from the cafeteria that I ordered food so he had to go to the other cafeteria and it was always closed. So he had to go outside and buy food or we even had to order food for the three days that we were admitted I really felt bad because he couldnt eat the food that was offered in the hospital and thats not fair. Oh, and let me not forget the person who delivers the food. She was very rude. She came in the room, basically slammed the food on my table and left literally for the three days that I was there. She did the same thing like she had attitude or something. Also, the day I went to give birth I went because my water broke and I had to wait more than five hours to be able to get a room so I can be able to give birth. Thats ridiculous and the nurses kept telling me youll get a room in one hour and time kept passing, and I still didnt get a room. Lastly , I couldnt breast-feed because I wasnt producing enough milk at the hospital , so my on last day I had a nurse sadly I cant remember her name. She basically made me feel bad because I wasnt breast-feeding and told me if I dont start now I will never be able to breastfeed my baby thats ridiculous and I felt bad because I wasnt breast-feeding my baby. I was only formula feeding and I dont think thats fair because is my body is my choice whether I breast-feed or whether I dont breast-feed at the end of the day Im my mom thats trying. But anyway, aside from all of that, Dr. Jessica k was the best doctor. I had a nurse that same day. I believe her name was Chelsey She was great thank you, Chelsey ! and all my questions were answered by my doctor, and by the day nurses. the discharge process was fast and easy as well.

I have gone to this hospital for surgeries and had no problem . The ER needs major help . I went in to the ER March 15th with a rash on my leg, the DR. I seen tells me he was going to treat me for MRSA and proceeds to give me an antibiotic and steroid . I take this steroid and antibiotic (finish the prescription) but the rash had only gotten worse and spread . March 26th I go back to the emergency room . After waiting a little over 3 hours in the waiting room I was finally called to the back . Physician Assistant John Elkhoury comes to the back and tells me I just have a severe case of eczema in a sarcastic condescending tone . He was for sure it was eczema . I voice to him that Ive struggled with eczema my entire life and this didnt look like eczema being the way it had spread ALL over my body . He tells me a rash is normal , I am not concerned by the way this looks , it looks very normal to me. He then leaves the room to get my discharged papers. He then comes back and tells me actually ,this is not eczema its a form of ringworm fungal infection and proceeds to tell me an entire different diagnosis. At this point I am frustrated being as though I was about to leave the hospital being treated for eczema to find out it was something more serious. Because I am a young adult I call my mother to voice the concerns since John Elkhoury kept trying to rush me out , cutting me off during conversations, and brushing my concerns off . We both are very frustrated at this point being as though I have a rash spreading , completely itchy , and hearing three different diagnosis is 2 weeks . After a 5 minute conversation with my mother John Elkhoury does not introduce himself to my mother instead tells her it looks like a severe case of eczema, rash is a generalized term that I John Elkhoury physician assistant usually see but it could be a case of ringworm but is that all because I have 40 other patients I need to see and this is taking too long for something that is already diagnosed. I am truly disgusted by the way he handled my situation. The manner I was talked to being a concerned patient was completely unacceptable. John Elkhoury needs a class on how to talk to concerned patients.
