A little higher consulting fee but well worth it

My review is based off of my interaction from the receptionist.
I called on behalf of a customer of mine who is in need of legal services. I asked what the typical retainer would be for a particular area of service and she noted she cannot quote anything but can quote the consult fee of $250 only. I asked for more clarification on the consult fee and she just repeated herself. When I asked what would be the scenario in the event that the lawyer decides they are not a good fit for the case after the consult, as lawyers do sometimes. She just repeated "that's what a consult is. She will let you know how much it will be". I repeated that I was clarifying that if the lawyer finds they are not a good fit for the case, is the fee still charged. She became impatient and noted that of course it would still be charged because "that's what a consultation is". I replied that I was aware of what a consultation was, however, each business chooses to frame their consultations differently as to whether the fee will be applied to services if chosen, cancelled in the rare occasion it isn't a good match, or if it's even a priced service to begin with, and that I simply wanted to seek more information.
While I've heard a few good reviews on social media, I would never utilize this office. Your frontline customer service are often the first people to talk to your client and the last person they see before they go....with this person employed as their frontline, I am willing to bet money this office is losing valuable work. Even mores, it takes a team when approaching delicate legal matters and I would never want my client to have to deal with this kind of personality on the regular.

This review is based off solely from my interaction from the receptionist, who was rude, impatient and condescending. I assume her lack of professionalism represented the firm, although this may not be the case. I'm sure Ms. Smith is pleasant and competent, but just reviewing from my initial call with the receptionist while asking basic questions.
