Shame on this place. They must get rid of Dr. Bhatt. This false accusation truly messed with the bonding between mom and baby. Just bc they didnt do what HE wanted doesnt mean they didnt have a care plan. Shame on him!

If I could give -5 stars I absolutely would. Dr. Anand Bhatt reported a loving family to CPS after their first routine appointment for their baby girl after the family followed the advice of their midwife. The family decided to have a home birth and gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl. Days later she developed jaundice and was treated at home by their midwife. Dr. Bhatt, being their pediatrician for over a decade decided to call CPS to report the family since they decided to go with their midwifes treatment. CPS FORCEFULLY took a 3 day old little girl from her mothers arms because of this and the parents still have no idea where their child is being held.
Black mothers are already treated with a lack of care within the health care system which Im sure is part of the reason why this mother chose to have a home birth. Could you imagine placing yourself and your baby in the best situation just to have them snatched away from you due to someone elses beliefs on what they feel you should have done with YOUR body and YOUR child? ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. His License needs to be revoked.
I had a home birth myself February 4th, my baby also developed jaundice which was corrected by sunlight - the advice of my midwife. I took my son to Irving pediatrics under the care of Dr. Haq who praised me for having an unmedicated home birth. I brought up my concerns about my son having jaundice and he let me know my son was perfect and the level of jaundice he was experiencing was not a concern but to continue to follow the advice of my midwife.
I live 9 minutes from Dr. Bhatts practice and this very much could have been me. I literally would have died if my first born child was taken from me for NOTHING. Dr. Bhatt is pure evil.

I have two boys, a 7yr old and a 1yr old. I would not recommend this practice OR Dr. Anand D. Bhatt and I would not allow him to be their PCP. My oldest was born with jaundice, his Pediatrician which happened to be the HEAD Pediatrician at the hospital I gave birth at, RECOMMENDED the natural light treatment for him. We were told to place him in the natural light in just his diaper throughout the day for several days and she tracked his jaundice and it worked. So for him to be hell-bent against it and report the parents to CPS is appalling, when other colleagues in his profession whos been practicing longer than he has, sometimes recommend natural light for babies born with jaundice. Make it make sense. Choose your child pediatrician wisely, research their background prior to taking your children to these offices. Im glad I researched my boys pediatrician.
