image My Mother was taken care of in 2005. She was in a Care Center and was taken care of very well. I appreciated the nurses and the Chaplin visiting and making sure that she was taken care of. In fact when my Mom decided she wanted to die, the team from Crossroads took better care of her than the staff at the care center. I recommend them .

image My grandmother passed unexpectedly at 2:45AM and doesnt have life insurance. As a family we attempted to collect the money to get everything taken care of.
In her last few days crossroads sent out two incompetent nurses who needed to YouTube this, you can learn everything from YouTube She forgot to give my grandmother her medicine on many occasions.
Fast forward to today- Crossroads repeatedly called every 30 minutes even AFTER explaining everything very clearly. After the 5th call I got upset and hung up. I needed a minute.
Not only am I dealing with the loss of a loved one and finding the money that comes with Im also dealing with the police at my door as Crossroads CALLED THE POLICE on a grieving family 3hrs after my grandmothers last breath.

image My mother was sent home on hospice with your company. A pain pump was placed to help control her pain. The first nurse that was sent to my home had no clue on how to change the medication in her pain pump so she pulled her cell phone out and said "YouTube has everything. So she leaves and I'm noticing her pain wasn't under control. I called crossroads and said my mom is in so much pain and that the nurse that came didn't know how to change it. Crossroads didn't come back out till later on that night. My mom was in pain for hours because the nurse didn't prime the line. So the medication was going back in the bag. The next day a different nurse came to change it but 20mins after she left the pump stated beeping. I call crossroads once again and it took another hour to come back to change it. When my mom passed on 11-14 the crossroad team come out and asked where we are sending her body. I said I didn't know yet it was only 3:30 in the morning. I told her that I would let her know when my brother call to send her to the funeral home. Every 30mis I got a call asking where to send her body. So once again that I would call when we figure it out. By 8am the cops came to my door saying that I was holding my mother hostage. My 3 kids were home. I didn't want them to see their grandmother put in a bag. The way the staff treated me the morning my mother passed is crazy. If I wanted more time with my loved one should've never been a problem. I've called so many times and I hope no other family gets the cops called on them because we were asking for time for my brother's call. 3:30-8am isn't what I would call hospices care. 2 medication errors and the cops. Oven still haven't got a return phone call

image Its been almost 5 years since we signed with Crossroads Hospice. My mom died in her home with her 4 daughters at bedside. We called twice for an RN around 8 pm, when her condition indicated she was actively dying, and called again later in the evening when no one had showed. She took her last breath a few minutes after midnight- the nurse arrived a half hour later- no apology or explanation for the lack of response. It made me so angry at the time that I had to be the nurse for my mom, and console and explain what was happening to my sisters, all the while trying to manage my own emotions. Ive come to accept it, and hoped our abysmal experience was an outlier for Crossroads, but not so sure after reading the other sad stories here.
