We have been with HGC for 4 years. Started in the mommy and me class and we absolutely love this gym. We love the coaches and the staff. This is definitely more than a gym, they feel like family!!

When I spoke to the owner about an issue I had, he became defensive and dismissive. He stated that I was the only complaint in x amount of people/years, which apparently justifies not truly hearing my concerns. I was 100% willing to put my daughter in gymnastics at the other location instead of Hampton Cove which was the one good thing I can say about the owner during my interaction with him. He was still willing to see about putting my daughter in the other location despite our conversation not going well. The website states that those classes are full though so I didn't even know that was an option until he brought it up. However, the way the owner conducted himself during our conversation really made me rethink taking my daughter to this business. I am very understanding of mistakes and oversight. However, when oversight happens, taking the time to fully understand the issue and taking responsibility for it, is good business. He also informed me that one of the employees told him that she did follow up with me when in fact, she did not. Whatever she told him did not align with my phone, email, and voicemail records but he did not want to hear any of that. It was clear that he had already heard from the woman at Hampton Cove and had made his mind up about what happened. Therefore, during our call, he was completely non-receptive. I have been on 3 waitlists since October 2022. I was an oversight on the first one, I was not given a proper follow up or given important information on the second one, and the third list is now null and void. I was only bringing my grievances to light in order to find a remedy so that my daughter could start gymnastics with them and to let the owner know what happend so that he had the opportunity to improve any holes in his business process so that what happened to us does not happen to any one else. I was treated like Karen for doing so. Even if I could not have gotten my daughter in despite the issues, had the owner listened to understand, took responsibility for their part of the issue, and just sincerely apologized, I would have been sad but completely satisfied by the way it was handled. If you get in and have zero issues with them, I'm sure this is a wonderful place to be. But, if you are like us and have a not so good experience, you might as well find somewhere else because the owner won't listen to it. Absolutely heartbreaking.

The only business around still requiring masks for fully vaccinated instead of allowing adults to make their own medical decisions. It is funny how most doctor‘s offices aren’t even requiring masks of their medical staff or patients, yet this facility wants to push masks on healthy vaccinated individuals. Doctors are walking around in their practices without masks so that should tell you something. Everyone is still touching the same doors, chairs, equipment, etc. This has gotten ridiculous!!!
