AmeriGas is a joke. After six Customer Calls I was told someone from the local office would call me to handle the issue within 24 - 72 hours. Never heard a peep from the local office. They are putting themselves out of business one customer at a time.

The call center is horrible. When they switched from Heritage propane to Amerigas the service is horrible. You cant even talk to someone in Huntsville AL. They refuse to transfer you to the correct location to solve a simple problem. I would not recommend using this company at all.

I do not recommend this company. I inherited them for propane service when they bought Heritage Propane.
I ordered and paid for propane delivery back on Oct 5. They gave me a time frame for delivery and said I would get a call first. No delivery happened. 2nd call, the service rep said my order was canceled for no reason. So rescheduled it as high priority. He also said the system was forcing an extra charge of 4 cents, which he said they would refund later. Despite the service rep sounding like he cared, no delivery came. (The call center on the other side of the world has no power to make anything happen or understand why it doesn't. Just follow the script. Kudos to the script writer for seeming to care about customer experience, at least for my particular problem of no show delivery. Unfortunately the rest of the company doesn't follow the script.) 3rd call they said they would schedule an emergency delivery within 24 hrs. Never happened. 4th, 5th, etc. calls all claimed delivery within a time frame but no one ever called or showing up. Finally called today Dec 27 to get a refund, which they surprisingly were able to do. They didn't refund the extra 4 cents charge. Hilarious since the transaction fee will be more than the charge. Unfortunately I'll have to call one more time to get them to pickup their cylinders. Odd are that will never happen either.
