image I always wanted to pay a visit to this museum. And I absolutely love it.This place has a lot to offer. Is like being in a place in Europe.you get to admire beautiful chandeliers, learn history of how Czech Republic became an independent country.
biographies of people who made a difference in their history. You also can admire the traditional attires of Czech people. Is just amazing all the richness and culture this small place can offer in 3 story small building. The place is just mezmering.
And I got very excited to walk to first floor and find a gift shop. You can find all kinds of beautiful things, decorated eggs, cards, glass ornaments, traditional flutes for kids, flags, books, calendars ...Its just amazing !!!
I also was able to view photo exhibits of Czech artists and is just wonderful !! The gift they got in their eyes,to let you see what they are able to capture thru their lens in their cameras.I will definitely go back again.
I highly recommend a visit to this center.Location is great. There's light train stops nearby, walking distance. Im so bad with peoples'names but Id like to thank this young lady at front desk,She is super sweet and helpful and was very good. Thanks again.

image No amount of photography can justify how beautiful the collection is. There is culturally significant artwork, handiwork, innovative crystal and marble glass art, other pottery art, antique toys, books, figurines/dolls, traditional clothing, and history regarding persecution and ethnic cleansing of Czech and Slavic people. Three story museum filled with Czech culture from top to bottom. I loved the pride. Reading about early Czech-Americans' (and Texans) success stories after fleeing their homelands was very inspiring. My photos aren't good but I hope it helps give an idea. This is a very well-organized, respectable museum worth the trip!
They have the BEST museum gift shop of all the Houston museums.
It is wheelchair accessible, elevators indoors, and free museum parking on property.

image intreaguing material, especially the traditional outfits i found pleasant.
however ones a bit inaccurate, there wasnt much communism in soviet times as the exhibits say as thatd be moneyless and stateless, sadly it turned into a puppet state dictatorship in czechia that didnt have much to do with leftism and its ideals.
