image This is the local jail, and holds pre-trial felons, misdemeanor detainees, sentence felons probationers, probation violators, to include sentence felons, getting released back to society. Also weekender who have to check in and check out. Not to mention, it is one of the largest jail, in the whole State of Hawaii, built to hold only 973 detainees/inmates, but due to back Log of the Court system, and over crowding it filled to the brim, with over 1300plus.Visiting hours used to be first come, first served, now it has become animated phone call, and very limited space. Visits are also non-contact, and talk through a prexi-glass holes. And normally only 45mins long.

image Stayed here last fall for a weekend retreat. Should have checked reviews instead of word of mouth by others. Beds were not at all comfy as they were very hard. Tried to get housekeeping to send up more pillows but was told they were short at the time. Free continental breakfast is included with your stay, tho i have no idea why it is served at 3am. Food must have been good as one other guest was ready to engage in fisticuffs in order to have my food. As i was getting ready to leave the resort i was told the bellhop lost my items and i would need to retrieve it on another day. All in all the stay went by quick but not as relaxing as i envisioned. Most likely won't be coming back to stay unless forced to go.

image Oahu Community Correctional is a place where people who do bad things are locked up at. Visiting people is relatively simple though you need to be placed on the visitation list by the person you're visiting. This requires them knowing your personal information so they can fill out a form that gives permission for you to visit. The staff here are relatively friendly and I find them to be very helpful. They try their best even though things may not be perfect with their procedures or technology. Parking is slightly more than needed which is awesome. There's always an open stall although you have to walk a bit sometimes. Still, it's okay because exercise is good for you!

image If I had ever been there maybe several times....I would say I never had a problem as soon as you realize it's jail and you don't have enough money for bail you have to stay yeah the food is little and sometimes sucky but they have a nutritional guide to help prepare meals that's why people go in all fat and sloppy and by the time you beat your case , since you are innocent  right the police just don't pick people up randomly , anyway I think jail shouldn't be like in Mexico ,so as they say lucky you live hawaii....lolMan up and no cry.

image As of October 10th 2016, Oahu Community Correctional Center will no longer have any contact visits. Visits will be through a partition in the visitors area. Visits will be conducted Monday through Friday instead of the weekend visits. Visitors must make an appointment to visit, which was not needed on the previous weekend visits that occurred on Saturday and Sunday. ACOs are fairly nice. Most of them are generally friendly. If you have any questions for inmate accounts, mail, visiting, and so forth call the main line. For first time visitors, please refer to their dress code guidelines on the Hawaii Department of Public Safety website. dps.hawaii.gov/wp-conten…
