image I am highly impressed by the professionalism, starting with the front office staff members and the team staff painters. My concerns were addressed in a timely fashion. I was very impressed with the business portal for my painting project. Everyone was very helpful and answered all my questions. The insurance certificate was sent over before my quote. image Update 1 since getting a response:
1. I'd like to clarify that I was present and spoke directly to your team during the initial assessment of the property for quoting. I did the first walkthrough at night. I was the one who reached out with our disatisfaction. I personally met with the entire management crew, when my partner wasn't even present. The ONLY part of the process I was absent for was the touch-up day where I was out of state for a family emergency.
2. Regarding the scope of work - our primary purpose of hiring a painting company was to repair the ceiling work and paint the areas over 10' tall. My review is soley based on the scope of work that was contracted. The final quality of workmanship should be completely irrelevant of the scope of work. I would expect the job to be done to the same standards be it a small room or the entire property. We've since painted the rest of the "much needed work" ourselves.
3. I will clarify that yes, after the touch-up visit, many of the concerning areas were improved, but the kitchen ceiling is still patchy and I still have paint splatter across my entire living room flooring.
Unfortunatley, we will probably have to tear out the dining room ceiling to do it right from the start.

I hired Southern Perfection Painting to repair water damaged drywall on the ceiling of my dining room and the foyer, as well as to paint the walls in the foyer and the living room.
Before they arrived I had personally moved the living room furniture to the center of the room so they could easily cover it before painting. They arrived with 2 supervisors and the crew of 5 painters.
The damaged drywall was to the point of small chunks falling off. In this condition, I expected that it would have been cut out and replaced. Instead the painters slapped a coat of Kilz and drywall mud over it and then painted overtop of that.
For the foyer walls, the paint was left in a streaky mess that I could see stripes all down the staircase.
In the living room, they had managed to uncover the floors and and get paint spatter everywhere along the perimiter of the room. They also managed to get paint drips on 2 fabric armchairs, a media console, and down the front of an upper window about 15' off the ground. Not to mention they put their dirty paint buckets directly on my new floors and a white area rug.
The edges of the trimwork in the living room were sloppy and wavered back and forth from the trim to the walls.
The ceiling in the foyer connects to the kitchen which was all re-painted but they left entire sections untouched in the kitchen and managed to paint right over a recessed light.
After they left, the management team was notified and they came out for a walkthrough the next day. I told them that I was dissapointed in the quality of their work and felt the entire job was rushed. They responded saying that their work was no worse than the existing paint through the rest of the house that the previous homeown did themselves! After seeing the level of neglect for my property I told them I didn't want them coming back to the house, and would rather see if they would be open to renegotiating the price and having us go our seperate ways. They refused and said "any price negotiations are off the table".
Reluctantly, we agree to let the supervisors come back alone to repaint the areas that were excessivley sloppy and clean up some of the spills.
On touch up day, the supervisors came back and again, put the dirty paint buckets on my white rug. Then somehow managed to topple over a 100lb speaker and put it through the wall, while at the same time knocking over an air freshener that completely destroyed the finish on a coffee table.
Fast forward to today (4 months later) and the ceiling in the dining room is already starting to fail with the paint bubbling up. I refuse to have them step foot in my home again.
Unfortunately it looks like it's time to cut my losses and learn how to replace drywall myself.
