My husband and I stayed here in March. There were cockroaches on the floor, and when we left we noticed bugs in the bed. When I told the front desk, he was completely unfazed and said he'd let the cleaning staff know. There are MUCH better hotels in the area for a similar price. Do not go here.

I agree with a previous rating: "it is suitable for a short stay."
We arrived at SB airport late, bound for Ojai Valley Inn the next day. This property? is NOT that. (OVI)... BUT the price tag is not comparable either, and I question some reviews that I read.
I have to say, I googled to see if this Hampton had shuttle from airport, and was alarmed (!!) at the reviews I saw.
This site is not worthy of less than a 4-star. The mattress is more soft than we prefer nowadays, the elec outlets are not convenient to bedside or less-than for expectations (exaggerated?) of today's tech eqpt, but -- their staff is friendly/helpful. Common areas and room was clean. (I did not smell.... anything, other than at breakfast) (which was VERY adequate). I would stay there again if another overnight was needed.
