A place where locals come to vacation. Great breakfast. A pool oriented towards the sun. Get the Hillside rooms. Its only downside is that despite being close to downtown its not very walkable.

The Olea was basically heaven on Earth! My husband and I were here for a week for our honeymoon and had an amazing stay. The view is unreal. The rooms are beautiful-the heated bathroom floors are truly luxurious! They also provide snacks in the room.The hot tub and pool area is clean and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious and such a pleasant surprise. And we liked our couples massage so much that we booked another one 2 days later! But by far, the best thing about the Olea was the staff! They were so kind and caring, from the front desk to the kitchen staff. We were so happy with everything here! Wed stay again in a heartbeat.

I'd love to give this place 5 stars. The location? Lovely. The staff? Wonderful. The other guests during both of our stays at this property? Abysmal.
The first time, there was a group of young people who rented 2 rooms above us - they were loud all night. And when we booked our recent stay, we made sure to mention this experience and were assured that would not happen again. It did, unfortunately, happen again.
This stay, there were 2 groups of families who knew each other, with a total of 5 kids between them. Our quiet new years getaway was quickly squandered by some of the loudest, most entitled guests we've ever had the misfortune of sharing space with. As soon as these 2 groups arrived, the property was treated like their Disneyland. They ran up and down the stairs and in between the 2 rooms; they took over the hot tub and pool. Why can't more people with kids understand that their kids ARE NOT EVERYONE'S delight??!! Why must you come and take over an entire space meant for more than just yourselves?
To Olea: my opinion is to reserve the ground room floors for families because if you're even a mild light sleeper, your stay will be disrupted by the incessant nose of upstairs guests - particularly if there are families, young partiers or adjoining parties.
To potential guests: inquire about the occupancy of the rooms above you, lest you be as disturbed as we were.
