Our room was very clean! We checked in after a long day of traveling and were pleasantly surprised. The bed was very comfortable & the linens fresh & clean. The shower was wonderful. Great water pressure & dispensers mounted that held complementary shampoo, conditioner & body wash. Nice soft pillows. The room smelled like it had been newly remodeled.
Staff was super helpful & very pleasant.
By the looks of the parking lot, it is a pretty popular place. We would stay again!

I will start off by saying the room was fine. In fact, it was surprisingly nice, given the rate I paid for my 4-night stay while I was in town taking care of my parents.
There are a few reasons I needed to knock off some stars from the rating:
1. Housekeeping -- This is the big one. When I got to my room and discovered there was not a Do Not Disturb tag to hang from the door, I went to the front desk and asked for one. I was told that they didn't have them (even though we could clearly see them hanging from several doors, including the ones directly below our rooms). He also said at that time that because we had newer rooms, we could not decline housekeeping during our stay, even though there was a sign on the counter saying they don't offer it and you could request towels if you needed them. I've stayed at 5-star hotels that didn't care if you declined housekeeping for a whole week. He offered to make it so housekeeping only came on alternate days, and because I didn't want to come off as a jerk, I conceded to that, begrudgingly. This meant I couldn't leave things like my tablet in the room when I went to lunch because I trust NO ONE. On the day I knew they were going to come in while I was away, I intentionally put my toothbrush in its case so they wouldn't have to touch it with the same hands they used to clean toilets in order to move it to clean the counter (which didn't need cleaning). When I returned to my room that evening, my toothbrush had been removed from its case and was laying on its side on the counter with the bristles touching the counter. MY TOOTHBRUSH. Needless to say, I couldn't brush my teeth that night and had to go buy a new brush head for my toothbrush, and since it's Sonicare, those aren't cheap.
2. The hairdryer night light -- this is a much lesser problem and I wouldn't have deducted any stars at all if it were the only issue, but there's a VERY bright light on the hairdryer mount that lit up the whole room. Thankfully, I was able to unplug it, but that's also when I noticed the outlet itself had a little light on it. Hotels are for sleeping, and the best sleep is in total darkness. Maybe make your super bright night lights optional?
3. Security - the door had only a basic deadbolt, which opens with the key card. You could see where, at one time, there had been that additional safety lock near the top of the door, but it had been removed. Why? I don't know, maybe so you couldn't barricade housekeeping out of the room, but as a single woman traveling alone and staying in a place where the room door goes to the outside world and literally anyone could walk up to it, I would have appreciated the extra security. Guess I'm buying one of those Amazon locks.
4. Breakfast -- the choices were pretty abysmal. Packaged oatmeal, I think there were some various breads or pastries. No fresh fruit, no yogurt, nothing but starch. Definitely not a balanced breakfast, and after the first morning, we ended up going elsewhere and paying for breakfast.
5. The bed height -- again, a minimal issue, but the bed was SUPER high. My friend stayed in the next room and said her bed wasn't nearly as high as the ones in my room, which is good, because she's short and probably couldn't have gotten on to these beds without a step stool. At 5'8" I had to crawl up on the bed like a toddler. There's no reason for a bed to be that high. Again, if this were the only issue, I wouldn't have deducted any stars.
Look. Overall, the room was fine. If it weren't for the toothbrush issue, I probably would have stayed there again the next time I visit my parents. But requiring housekeeping in 2024 is absurd. My friend suggested it was maybe because they've had issues with people partying in the rooms or something, but we are two 50-year-old women who are too tired to party and don't have the patience for strangers dirtying up our toothbrushes.
