image If I could add more stars I would!! Cathy Hart did such an amazing job at helping my husband and I find our forever home. This year has been a crazy one and we almost gave up on looking for a home, but Cathy Hart worked so hard for us and took her time to show us so many homes. She was so patient, kind , was very informative and knew exactly what we wanted in a house. Cathy and the O‘Farrell Realty team really made our house buying experience easy and wonderful. We are so happy! I highly recommend Cathy Hart or anyone in the O’Farrell Realty team to help you find your new home!

image My wife asked me to leave this alone, but after the way she was treated, I feel it’s fair to warn other potential clients how unprofessional an unexperienced realtor in this group behaved.
Sorry, this is going to be lengthy. Cathy Hart represented potential buyers for our home, who also turned out to be the buyer’s mother. We were doing a for sale by owner in order to save money for my wife’s medical/cancer treatment. This was all explained to Mrs. Hart upfront. We received 4 offers that day and even though their offer was the lowest offer, my wife felt in her heart Cathy’s son and DIL were meant to have our home. My wife has a very loving heart. The buyers loved the house and she could see that. During negotiations, Cathy called my wife at LEAST 4-5 times voice raised, irate, and hostile. If Cathy didn’t understand something, instead of calling us and just calmly trying to discuss it so we could be on the same page, She’d lose it. Good communication is NOT hard. I can’t tell you how many times I heard my wife say “Mrs. Hart, please calm down.” Finally, it was contract time. We kept track of every single agreed-upon decision in a notebook daily. When we received the contract, almost the entire contract was incorrect. We had listed out every single agreed item with Mrs. Hart for our attorney to look at and couldn’t believe none of the agreed information was listed. It’s almost like she had completely forgotten everything and just guessed based on bits and pieces she could remember. From typos, to misinformation, & large amounts of money added. Our attorney recommended complete revision. Cathy told my wife to just “cross it out” and we were under the impression she was going to revise all the grievous mistakes.I think Mrs. Hart was very emotional, hot tempered, incompetent, very inexperienced, and very disorganized. My wife just had surgery two days before the contract.Instead of Mrs. Hart calling my wife and calmly discussing with us, she was yelling, hysterical, and insulting. We were totally confused because she had to have known she made several mistakes in the contract. She made several nasty comments directed at my wife not returning her call immediately while recovering. She flat out lied about my wife not returning calls. She told my wife,
“Thanks for getting back to me for once! I just think you don’t even want to sell your house and you’re ridiculous. This has just been one thing after another!!! Ridiculous!!!” My wife hung up the phone in tears. The nerve after how willing my wife was to figure it all out and give her so many chances. It just came down to incompetence and unprofessionalism. You don’t behave so unstable in a business deal.Especially when the selling party is being so amenable. This could have been a good learning experience for Mrs. Hart.We kept track of all agreed details daily on paper. My personal opinion was rather than admitting her disorganized faults, she tried to place blame on my wife to save face. Anytime Mrs. Hart called,I heard my wife spending most of the conversations trying to reassure her with more,”Cathy, please stop freaking out. Please calm down.We absolutely are wanting to work with yall.” She couldn’t tell her left foot from her right. I can’t believe my wife put up with that for the whole 10 days before the deal was called off, but she really wanted those buyers to have it and ignore the antics. I’ll admit, this is our first rodeo selling on our own. My wife was honest that she didn’t know everything but would do everything in her power to do this deal in good faith. She couldn’t have possibly been more amenable. We accepted another previous offer today and their realtor told us, “An experienced realtor should know this going into a for sale by owner, a FSBO are going to have minimal realty knowledge. Patience comes with experience and professionalism.”My wife was always kind, respectful, and easy to work with. She didn’t deserve to be treated that way by a so called “professional.”
This realtor was pure drama.
