I let Golden State Roofing owner Gabriel Martinez to initiate work on my roof to stop it from leaking. But it is still leaking to this day. He promised to do it within 2 weeks, but he started on October 10, 2017 and he still has not finished because it is still leaking. He said he has five workers that will finish the job within 2 weeks. I paid in advance $22,000 (80%) with a check, he cashed the check, and I kicked them out on February 2, 2018 because the State Board said he has a suspended license. His partner Rudy Reyna is also a crook. They are writing bad reviews on my business because they say I have not paid them for the job: the job they have not finished. I have a few witnesses. They worked for him and they never stopped the leak. Their whole team was a fail. We filed a complaint against Gabriel and Rudy to the State Board, and to the Bond Co.. Bond Co. said they already have 9 complaints under Gabriel's name. I also filed to the Roof Material GAF Co.
We do have proof of the cancelled check if you would like to see proof, because you can save money.
I do not recommend this company to anyone. He said he had two years of experience.
Do not pay in advance unless you know they have more than five years or more of experience.
Before the contract he showed he had 4.4 stars. They don't even deserve one star, but I don't think there is an option to post without a star.

Unless you have the time to stay and monitor the job stay away. They well cut corners every step of the way. The workers seem to work hard enough however they have no guidance.

Gabriel was very helpful in explaining the roofing process, how long it would take, etc. They are fast! Got a nice looking roof on in just a few days and before the rain came! At a very good price. I would recommend them to my friends and family, thanks Gabe!

Had my roof re-done by this company earlier this year in April. I paid the full amount due as soon as the work was completed. A few months later, I started receiving subpoenas from the courts stating how the roofing material supplier was never paid for the roofing materials. Gabriel Martinez, the company owner, assured me that he would take care of it. Just yesterday, I received a court summons indicating that I have been sued by the roofing material company. Upon further reading, it was determined that the roofing material supplier is also suing 4 other individuals like me. The summons also details how Gabriel opened a line of credit with the roofing material company and never paid over $90,000 in debt for the materials supplied for the projects that were requested by me and the 4 other individuals. I now have to go to court and tell a judge how much of a scumbag this Gabriel guy is. Buyer beware, stay away from this company.
