Free breakfast, a weight room w dumbbells to 50, 3 treadmills, helpful staff, clean rooms. 5 stars!

Ive been receiving emails from Alyss at HospitalityVentureGroup about an upcoming stay. Alyss, the hotel manager, pulled and canceled my upcoming reservation. I booked the reservation using our company corporate code for the usual rate through Marriott. Out of nowhere, weeks after booking, the emails start to come from Alyss, and right away, I could sense there was a lie being crafted. The email uses the term glitch to explain why they would not be honoring my confirmed reservation. So after they bumped me I see the rooms are in fact available, however, they are not available at our corporate rate. The lie is what I wanted to point out here and that there was no need for it. Had Alyss simply reached out and spoken the truth, chances are I wouldnt be here writing this review. Heres the greedy part, they are asking to sell the rooms on their website right now for a lot more than what they would have gotten from my original confirmed reservation. While in fact this hotel may have the market to sell the rooms for more money, that does not justify pulling a confirmed reservation. Im confident that Marriott as a whole doesnt operate on this type of a bid system and I believe this most likely is due to local ownership and their management seeing dollar signs.
