I am writing this review after having utilized the services of over 10 title companies for various indications over the past 5 years in multiple states. My general experience is that title companies provide minimal service benefit to the real estate transaction. The ONLY thing that I require of the service provider is attention to detail. In this case, when I contacted the agency, the responses among employees varied. The company did not file the required forms with the Maryland Department of revenue for an out of state sale despite being provided with the appropriate SIGNED and witnessed forms more than 30 days prior to closing.  They did provide a service at the end of the day. However, I can think of no reason to make an error other than a lack of contentiousness. I find this to be a necessary quality for a title company involved in a big-ticket transaction.
