These guys are fantastic!!! The move went very smooth. Dave set up a stress free move and Alex and his team did a great job bring everything in. I will use them again if ever I'm in need. 10 stars if possible.

They are on time, organized, efficiency, careful and courteous. Their main office is responsive. Moving is painful no matter how you look at it but Patrick and the team make it so much better.

Lost items, broken items, incorrect billing / overbilling.
Mastadon moving was contracted by ServPro for pack out and storage after a home fire. They were paid in advance by my homeowners insurance.
When my belongings were moved back, several were broken or damaged, and several were missing. The prior condition of the belongings were documented by photos prior to the pack out. A couple of examples of several include: a broken and cracked kitchen table leaf rendering the table unusable; three bookshelves that are missing the shelves; missing heirloom wine glasses which were over a century old. Because these items were damaged and lost by Mastodon and not the fire, they are not covered by homeowners insurance. Mastodon was unresponsive and unapologetic about these issues.
Also, despite being paid in advance for their services by my homeowners insurance, they twice tried to issue additional bills for both storage and for moving.
While I didn't have a choice in selecting Mastodon moving, and while I generally try to hire local companies, I would warn others against using this company given the poor condition of my belongings following their services, the fact that several items went missing, and their multiple attempts at overbilling/duplicate billing.
Updated: I was contacted by Mastodon Moving by phone within 10 minutes of posting the above review. We discussed the issues outlined above. I explained that when they did not respond to my initial emails reporting the lost shelves, I posted the review rather than making further attempts to contact them. I was recommended to fill out a claim form an submit photos, which I did the same day. However, I received no response within the timeframe that the form had advised. I therefore contacted Mastodon Moving again. I was told that they did not receive photos, so I immediately resent them. To my surprise, I was told that my items were "not new" and unlikely to be reimbursed by much. I next submitted an itemized list of the items missing and damaged, including bookshelf stereo speakers (wood and fabric damaged), the human-height bookshelf (missing two of five shelves), a second tall bookshelf (missing shelf attachments) (no photos sent as I already bought new shelf attachments; told them this via phone), heirloom kitchen table (unremovable black mark on table; newly cracked table leaf), heirloom wine glasses (lost; unable to submit photos for this and indicated this), and broken lamp (entire switch fractured off; unable to be fixed/replaced). I was then boldly accused of "seeking a bribe", and told (not asked) to remove this review. The company representative then went on to threaten me (via email) with legal action if I did not remove this review. Mastodon did agree to reimburse me by cents per pound for missing and damaged items.
Given the highly unprofessional interactions I've had with this company, my experience with this company's services including missing and damaged items, (unsuccessful) attempts to bill me for additional services that my insurance already paid for or that I did not agree to, poor communication, and subsequent legal threats for posting an online review detailing my experiences, I would strongly warn others against using this company.

Excellent experience. I had them move a piano from my parents house to my house. Asked my parents to call when they were on the way and they said that the crew was very prompt, professional and extremely courteous during the pickup.
Even though the piano is 70 years old and shows some of its age they had it all wrapped up carefully like it was brand new.
They had it moved into my house in no time, unwrapped and ready to go. Everyone on the crew was very pleasant which made the entire experience great.
I highly recommend them.

The crew that showed up on time, well equipped was truly my savior. I had my 2 small boys the day of my move and these guys were absolutely fantastic. They made my chaotic day turn into the most stress free day I could have ever asked for. Very efficient at what they do and you can tell they care highly about their customers and their belongings. Everything was wrapped and packed so neat and organized!! Mastodon Moving really was the perfect choice!!! Thank you all so much.
