What a horrible experience I had with the claims department from Auto-Owners Insurance Fort Myers facility, my car was totaled by one of their insured, and I got assigned Cynthia M as my adjuster, who was overall rude and unpleasant to talk to, she provided me with the information to get a rental for 2 weeks while everything got situated, at the time of me returning the rental I was informed by the rental facility that I needed to contact my adjuster in regards of payment for the rental car insurance for the 2 weeks I had it, I did so, and provided the information needed from my own car insurance, after 2 weeks of Cynthia M not returning my texts, emails or calls, I contacted her direct manager Michael C,
I was hopeful he could help me to get everything resolved due to his past as a police officer, but unfortunately I was wrong, on our first phone call he was reluctant to talk to me and tried to redirect me to the adjuster even though I explained to him that his employee had ignored me for the last 2 weeks, he had no idea what the issue was with the rental company cause anything was documented, and he did not cared about that, at the end of the conversation, he promised to call me back the next day but that did not happened. Two days after our call, he reached out to tell me that it was my responsibility to pay almost $400 for the rental car insurance I had for 2 weeks provided by his company, but he made sure to be way more arrogant, rude, and did not care that I was the victim in the situation after the trauma of my car being totaled, and even refused to provide me with his supervisor information. In summary, not everyone should work in customer service, and if you would like to be treated with respect and to be helped when in need, avoid the Fort Myers branch.

I have been a client of Auto-Owners for approximately 10yrs. Thankfully I have not had any major incidents until now in which I was in a horrific auto accident.
I am so grateful that Auto-Owners is my carrier.
The professional, expedite manner in which their two claims representatives was nothing sort of SUPERB!! Ricky Powell and Venessa Poza handled both my damage and medical claims so quickly I am amazed. Each time I emailed either one of them with either a question or perhaps a invoice, they responded within the hour and my reimbursements within a day.
I am recommending them to everyone I come in contact with that if your looking for insurance call Auto-owners!!

I recently was involved in an accident that totaled my car. Making a claim through Auto-Owners was fast and easy. My agent got me started and walked me through the process step by step. Anthony Turton was the agent that helped the most. He answered all of my questions patiently as we handled the destroyed car the the purchasing of a new one. Everything happened in a speedy manner. He made sure every detail was taken care of in the process. I could not ask for better care from Anthony or Auto-Owners.

We had an unfortunate event occur, but we were fortunate to have Joe H. as our claims rep. Joe is knowlegable of the policies and processes. He is also articulate and very responsive. It's clear Joe cares about the results of his work and the people that he works with and for. Sometimes it seems these types of interactions are rare, but he was very refreshing to work with. He is a great representative of the company and they are lucky to have him.
