Womencare Counseling provides high-quality services for a variety of mental illnesses and does a great job of communicating the overall treatment plan and what the next steps are in the process. I would highly recommend them.

Went through a horrific trauma only to be told by a woman in group that she didn't believe me. Therapist Laurie demanded that I meditate and put on some kind of sweet baby voice to soothe this woman disrespecting me and my rape. Not gonna happen.

Well, I think there are probably a lot of good therapists here, but the one I had seemed to lack core empathy, forgot about me, cancelled on me a couple of times, and seemed more concerned with making money than making a connection.  I had high hopes to finally find a feminist therapist but I do think part of feminist therapy means being aware of multiple oppressions and this therapist did not have any awareness of the "feminization of poverty" for one thing. ;(  I was ready to work hard but cannot afford the services there.

The Womencare Counseling Center has highly trained counselors/therapists on staff.  I have relied on their services going through a very difficult time following a traumatic event/events in my life.   They have been compassionate, and caring.  Every aspect of  experiencing trauma and it's aftermath are treated by professionals with "heart."  Womancare Counseling Center has been nothing short of a blessing to me.  I do not hesitate to recommend them.
