The person I dealt with at this firm was Rebecca Gombos and I think everyone that came into contact with her at the courthouse couldn't stand her. First she was unwilling to move the hearing date for the opposing counsel who had a conflicting court appearance, this is a standard accommodation I'm told. Then she tried to submit an affidavit from folks who weren't willing to come in to testify which was quickly thrown out as the defendant has the right to face the accuser. Then she tried to use an expunged/sealed record without having it subpoenaed, and she was scolded by the judge. Then she tried to attack the defendants credibility by attacking their church and the sacrament (the Santo Daime and their use of the Daime tea which is legally protected at the supreme court level). Some of her questions included "have you ever hurt someone emotionally or called someone a mean girl"? I couldn't make this stuff up. She also pulled an allegation out of her rear end where she accused the defendant of calling a 14 year old girl and trying to meet them without any evidence or testimony tied to question which was also scolded by the judge. And her closing arguments consisted of "He may or may not have slammed the table and he yelled". Needless to say the case was dismissed. There's much more competent and mature lawyers out there. Additionally, she spends a ton of time on twitter speaking about country music and J-lo.
