image This is my 3rd Hyundai Sonata that I bought from Elyria Hyundai. The sales and service team are top-notch. The sales and finance team are personable, professional, reasonable, straightforward and transparent. They make the process as easy as possible and straightforward and time-saving as well. The team in the the service department are amazing, they treat your car as if it is their own, they make things right if something doesn't go right. They take ownership, they treat your property with respect and they go above and beyond and make sure that it comes back to you the way you gave it to them each and every time only better and or repaired. They give me vital piece of mind and that is the most important thing I'm looking for. It is not getting free things or anything like that? But, giving me the piece of mind that my car is in good hands that they're going to take care of it, right. Not do any damage, or try to negotiate out of being responsible for something. And yes, it's cryptic, but I want an honest and transparent review the team there. The service department is what makes me come back each and every single time. I'll continue to come back even more. Looking forward to a long-term and amazing relationship with them. I hope this helps someone.

image Update 12/12/2023.
The certified car I bought was found to have a bad engine after buying it 2 months ago from Elyria Hyundai. Less then 20k miles, messing up days after purchase. They replaced sensors and more sensors and did other things before deciding it was the engine. So I was out of a car for months.
I had repeated breakdowns for months, one in particular almost got me killed, now I will be without the car for a month or longer through the holiday season.
I had asked to trade the car in, and my only option was to lose $4-5,000 for being sold a lemon if I wanted a working vehicle. They quoted me the car was worth around $13,000 after buying a month prior for 23,000. So Im now stuck paying 23,000 for a car I dont currently have in my possession with a bad engine, and who knows what else is wrong with it. I mean if it was certified and they missed the engine messing up which I caught right away, what else do they not know of or are hiding. I believe this place knew the car was a lemon and thought I was this quiet little ignorant girl that would do nothing.
Also I was not given an extended warranty or any price change due to the circumstances when I was told it would be included upon purchase. They waited until I signed the papers to tell me its not included and would be thousands more.
Now a decent dealership would have allowed me to trade the car in without losing my butt on it due to all the issues Ive endured during the 2 and a half months. They would have added on the extended warranty for free. I know because I called other dealerships to ask what their protocol is.
Read the reviews, before going here, theyre almost all horrific. Under new management that sucks!!!
Outside of abiding by the original 5-year bumper to bumper warranty to fix issues since the car is not yet 5 years old, Elyria Hyundai has done absolutely nothing to make this situation right with me. Not a single thing. In fact, they are rude and I would not recommend anyone go there.
If they do not act, Ill have to get lawyers involved because this is absolutely unacceptable.
Was not told until I was about to leave with the car. I was told I had a whole 2 weeks to pay $2,400 if I wanted the extended warranty, which I did want, however not everyone can grab $2,400 out of the air on such short notice. I think this was a dirty tactic, it could have gone on the loan, but no one had told us anything, now I have to buy a warranty from someone else.

UPDATE its 12 days since I last picked up my car from the shop, after 4 plus breakdowns in 2 months, 12/02/2023, and I am currently broken down and stranded in the rain waiting the four (4) hour time before Hyundai tow services can come get the car and me. So Ill be sitting here for the next 4 hours waiting on a tow. The issue is still not fixed. I asked to trade the car in with Elyria Hyundai which is where I got it but the only option I have is to lose $4,000-5,000 if I were to do
After management told me that all this is my problem and they hold no responsibility in selling me a lemon, ect, tough luck, after we have bought 6 new cars from the dealership.
Anyways
I spoke to consumer affairs , they offered to reimburse one of my less then $20. After many more issues and breakdowns I was offered reimbursement for my Uber rides.
Update: on 4/3 was never reimbursed for the $200 in Uber rides or the cost of cars when rentals were not available. The radio, blue link, Apple car play, did not work had to get the head unit replaced. All head and tail lights blow monthly. Dealer still refuses to offer me a warranty without charge for all the hassle. On 4/3/24 I spoke to customer affairs and they are trying to use scare tactics so I dont take this to court.
