Edit: they respond much faster to reviews then they do calls or emails.
Good luck getting them to call you back! I left numerous voicemails and emails to finalize a quote. They finally messaged me back with a quote nearly $300 more on a $ 1600 job due to "material increases" AGAIN after repeated calls and emails jan, feb, and march 2021 since the last time I could get them to respond in December 2020. They clearly don't want or need the business

I hired Five Star Roofing to replace my roof in 2018. When it was done, I wasn't satisfied with the way it looked in the corners. When they got to the corners, they placed one shingle across both sides of the roof (where the corner meet) and I'm sure it left a big air pocket underneath the shingle. Not to mention it looked very unprofessional.
I complained about it to Randy and he tried to convince me that it was normal to be done that way (even though all the houses around me looked nothing like that). The next day Shelly called and told me that they would redo that portion and I said okay.
They came out the next day and re-did the corners of the roof. When it comes to the corners, I would have given the original job a 1 star. The rest of the roof looked good. After the rework on the corners, I would give it (the corners) a 4 star at best. They (the corners) still didn't look as good as my roof did before the work was done.
My biggest complaint at this point is not the corners, but I believe my complaint to them about the corners is what lead to this.
Around March 2020 I entered my attic for the first time since before I had them replace my roof. I can't believe it's been that long. To my surprise I see a bunch of wood and shingle debris. I look up and see that the plywood of the roof is damaged. Looks like someone was angry when they removed the shingles from that part of the roof (they took part of the plywood with it). I was confused because that part isn't near the corners of the roof that they re-did, it's at the peak of the roof. I don’t know if this was done when the initial replacement was done, or maybe they had to redo more than I thought. That made me mad, but not as mad as I would get after I continued to look around my attic. Behind one of the studs, resting in the insulation, was a BEER can.
Were they drunk when they did the work the first time? Or did they decide to drink and use my attic as a trash can after I complained?
I contacted Five Star Roofing through email and never got a response.
I still have the beer can if they want to get fingerprints from it.

I would highly recommend this company. They were professional, knowledgeable and did excellent work. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up.

We have used Five Star Roofing for roof repairs and now a replacement. They were friendly, knowledgeable and worked with our schedule. Randy and Shelly took great care of us both times. I would definitely recommended them others and will continue to use them myself.

Randy did an excellent job repairing roof and fixing issues with our gutters. Randy suggested fixes for issues we were dealing with that were spot. Would recommend Shelly and the 5-star team.
