image I've read the reviews on JeJu and I will have to agree with some of the contributors. I had my very first visit with JeJu last week, after hearing about this place for years. In addition to the services they already provide, I opted in to receive the $100 Swedish massage. This was a terrible choice and the massage was a disaster. I don't believe the massage therapists at JeJu have been properly trained with proper certifications. I had the massage done a week ago, today, and I am still in pain and will probably need to see a specialist. The pain is unbearable. One thing I noticed is that the massage therapists do not conduct an initial consultation to determine if you are having any issues that need to be addressed during the massage. They can't do this because they do not speak English. The lady who performed my massage did not seem to know what she was doing and she was extremely too rough. She did not speak English so you could not properly communicate with her. In addition, in my opinion, she placed way too much pressure on the spine area. I am not a doctor, but I cannot imagine it being safe placing this much pressure on the spine area - using elbows to apply pressure. The massage was not relaxing at all - it was way too rough and mimicked more of a deep-tissue massage - but they were trying to touch bones. I have had many massages - this massage was by far the worst I had ever had. To top it off, at the end of the massage, the massage therapist performed a technique wherein she lifted my legs to a certain height and then allowed them to drop hard on the platform, potentially causing injury.
Finally, the facility was way too loud because of the amount of under-age children they allowed into the facility, so the facility is definitely not a peaceful environment. The water in the pool and the jacuzzi looked murky and the overall appearance of the facility did not seem very clean. My total opinion of this facility is that it is overrated and at risk of obtaining a class-action lawsuit.

image Decent jimjilbang. My favorite service would be the scrub and shampoo. Ive never done a hip bath and would probably try it another time.
Place looks a bit rundown but staff are helpful. Big shoutout to Mikaela. She was amazing! She showed me around even though I think she worked at the restaurant.
Theres no privacy in the scrub. All the beds are beside each other. It would be good if they had a milk rinse or something similar. Theres only 3 tubs - cold, warm and hot (with little jets). Nothing too fancy.
The scrub is great but the pool had a smell. There is an infrared section where you can sit, a sauna and steam room for the womens section.
Lots of options at the canteen- rice, noodles, snacks, smoothies, etc. A lot of people there were working. They had their laptops, headset and notebook. They are respectful of others but I came on a quiet day.
There is no designated sleeping area (at least not one that Ive seen). The second floor is the gym and smoking room. Theres a pool for men and women to use (bring a swimsuit). The different saunas they offered are okay. This place is not worth 40. Id pay 25 for this place. 3/5
