Terrible product, batterys die they trick you into a contract products suck! And they will blow you up for money everyday every hour even while asleep

ADT bought out ackerman security which was my home security provider. Since then Ive lost access to all 5 of my home cameras that I purchased thru ackerman. ADT is saying the only solution is to purchase their new system and replace all the cameras with theirs, even though for 8 months theyve been charging me the rate that includes camera access. Not only is their solution very unsatisfactory and disappointing, I had to speak to 10 different people over several phone calls for anyone to even understand the problem and come up with an answer. Every time I got transferred to someone else I had to re explain the whole situation from scratch because the notes that the previous employee left for the other was not correctly explaining my situation. When I went and just tried to cancel my service theyre saying per my *ackerman security* contract theres a cancellation fee even though theyre not holding up their end of my original contract. Theyre picking and choosing when to apply the terms of the ackerman contract based on what is best for them. Customer service level is complete bullcrap. I called my cc company to block payment and they said theyve had to do it several times before for other customers complaining about ADT.

After 3 years of bad service I called to cancel my service. I was happy to be able to cancel finally but surprise.. Bills kept on coming i didn't know i was behind 3 months on my bill because they said i never called so they charged me $159 in order to cancel the service again had to call to cancel 3 times on 3 more months it was annoying to keep getting Bills from them after I canceled the service good luck on canceling your service

Do not sign up for ADT! As a new homeowner, they took advantage of my lack of knowledge of the company and didnt disclose that it was a 3 year contract. Looking back I definitely should have made sure but I know better now. We moved before the 3 years and they refused to cancel or pause the payments on the service. Saying I would owe over $2,000 for the service and equipment. We ended up not using it and paid for the account for the 3 years still because we couldnt afford the up front payments. They were incredibly rude and didnt want to work with me. The only thing they ever did was lower my payments. Now it has come to cancel and it took me calling 5 different times and getting transferred 4-5 times to finally have someone cancel my account. Youre better off setting up your own security!
Editing to add: thought my account was canceled but saw they charged me again! I am unable to remove my method of payment from the website and they keep going around the issue of just cancelling my account and refunding me.

Stay away, liars
