Kiddie Kastle Daycare LLC has been operating in Dothan since 2006. Our mission is to make sure that every child is in a loving enviornment, while enhancing their minds. Education is a key part of our daily activities and making sure that the children know that learning can be fun. We take pride in the learning and the safeness of our children. We are open Monday thru Friday from 6am to 11pm. We do offer weekend care on Saturdays and Sundays from 6am to 7pm. Parents are now allowed to enter the building with a mask. During the covid period, noone was allowed due to safety issues. We ask parents not to come during nap time, 11:30-1:30.

I was pretty much okay with the daycare for the most part . It was convenient living next door. However, my son would come home happy sometimes, then it was a lot of times he was crying or unhappy. I would say I have no issue directly with the owner shes been cool for the most part. Then one day when I walked my son to day care , something told me to stay behind. I ended up taking all day to sign him in and on my way walking back home I noticed the kids were playing in the back and one adult was yelling at my son . With me hearing someone yelling at him I naturally stopped and made my way back . By the time I made it I saw my son running to the front making his way towards the street where cars were coming as well. My heart almost dropped, he was only a foot away from the street when I called him because I was still too far away to reach him . If I had not stayed and been there to save him , he more than likely wouldve ran out and got hit by a car. My family and I are still confused to why only one adult ran after him however she wasnt in the best shape and no where near him to stop him. Why did they allow him to get away. To this day I still dont know why they would allow my son to almost get killed. Thank God I was still around and paying attention!! Please just make sure your kids are safe!

Hello, I normally don't respond to anything that's posted anywhere, but I must reply to this. When your baby first started, you never told us he was a runner. The school told the bus driver and they told us. We discussed his diagnosis if you recall. The day in question, you were informed the class was on the playground and you could take him there. You took him to the gate, opened it, put him in, and left. When we get him off the bus, the aid put his hand in ours and we walk him off the bus into the daycare because they informed us he's a runner. There was no Stagg at the gate when you put him on the playground, they both were away from the gate interacting with other kids. He shouldn't have been left unless a staff was there for you to put his hand in(he's a runner remember). When staff say him open the gate and run, they started running, you turned and looked back while on the phone. If your child is a runner with other things going on, always put their hand in someone else's before you leave them, always. Unless my curb has move back considerably, he was nowhere near the curb, by my shed. I hope this will let the family know he was left at the gate when staff was in the middle of the playground. Always put a child's hand into an adult hand if they are a known runner, especially when they are looking at their parent. I'm not posting to be seen or notice, just to state the truth. If one is to elaborate on a matter, tell it all, not just your side. Once again, never leave anyone that you know is known runner unattended, always in an adult hand. By the way, there were 2 staff running toward the gate where the baby was left unattended. Wait until an adult is there to take your child's hand. Stay safe.

The owner is nice and very accommodating. Some of the staff could be more personable, but my child has had no complaints. They have a class for younger children in the morning. I wasnt allowed an opportunity for a full walk through of the facility and the staff wont permit you into the inner areas where the children are. The main reason I'm giving 2 stars is because I've come to drop off my child at the daycare and on a couple of occasions I've had to be at work very early and there was no one there for intake. I probably shouldn't be leaving a review out of frustration, but this is not the first time. I travel via carpool for work and was forced to miss work because of this. I would look into other day cares, but unfortunately this is the only daycare in Dothan that accommodates my work schedule as it's "24 hours"
