Thank you for your review. Although they are rare, we find it necessary to use negative reviews to reflect on our business and policies. They are never easy to read, especially when our integrity and character as a business is attacked and a situation is misrepresented as it is in this review, but we would like to make our response to you public.I have combed through my messages and unfortunately we were never made aware of the hardships that you mentioned in your email. Communication is key and it always goes two ways. We made several attempts to contact your family regarding your granddaughter's attendance and payment. We are extremely sensitive to what our families experience, and we were never made aware of what you mentioned here, even when we were told she'd be returning. How can one have empathy for something they know nothing about? We frequently make allowances for our families when they meet hardships, even so far as to allow students to come free of charge after a fire, death of a loved ones, or parents' loss of work. We were considering sending you a check as a courtesy since your bank overruled the dispute; however, after further consideration, we have decided not to move forward with that option.Please see below the points we considered: You were an account contact, which meant you received all of the emails and policies which were sent on the 25th of every monthYou stated in an email that you did not know your own son and told me to press charges, instead of mentioning any hardships Your bank refused your chargeback dispute based on your untrue statementsOur staff was told that [your granddaughter] would be returning and we had no reason to believe otherwiseWe did not steal your information, you authorized your son to use your card to pay for the classes (per your financial institution)Lastly, we'd like to point out that our program is a seasonal commitment and requires a simple email to withdraw from classes and we did not receive an email regarding disenrollment. Therefore, per our policies, the account remained active. Please see below for the first section of our Registration Agreement:AttendanceRegular attendance is vital to student progress and group choreography. Please make every effort to attend each class. Dance is a seasonal commitment, and students are expected to participate in class through the end of the season in May as well as the final production performance. Monthly tuition remains constant whether a student is present or not. If a student is more than 10 minutes late to class and has missed the warm-up, for his/her safety they may be asked to observe to avoid injury. To withdraw from a class and stop billing, a parent must do so via email to [email protected] by the 20th of the month before they want to drop. All classes have a one month minimum.
