Do NOT GO HERE! I cannot stress this enough. My husband had to be admitted here at the end of 2022 due to a broken leg. I cannot express our level of frustration and sadness with the level of care. One of his nurses was actually stealing his medicine for pain and replacing it with an allergy pill. Little did she know that the patient she was harming was on the team that developed the said allergy pill. I could go on and on. If you are taking the time to read this, please go elsewhere. Thats all I can say. This place needs to burn!

It is hard to put into words how bad of an experience I had with Detroit Receiving.
Not only did I nearly die form a routine procedure. I am still receiving new bills from this organization nearly two years later.
A true case study in all that is wrong with the American healthcare system.
Update: During the process of negotiating this 2 year old bill, the billing department and I were discussing the discrepancies between the total allowable bill on my EOB from my insurance company and the out standing charge with the facility. Essentially, My maximum out of pocket for that year was $2500 and I had spent $987 of that by the end of that year. (the bill is for $1444.28)
It felt like we were making headway in these conversations until one day I received notice from a collections company that they were looking to collect my debt. I now have 60 days to resolve this debt or my credit will be effected permanently.
DMC is certainly leading by example in all that can go wrong in the American Health Care System.

The ER process is extremely slow my blood pressure was like 167/107 I kept asking for my Blood Pressure medicine I didn't even get my medicine until 6 hours later right before I was about to get discharged I was left in the exam room( Not to mention it was the same exam room I was in before we saw a bug and the nurses literally ran out the room and left when I started screaming and then ran back and like oh we sorry well what if it was an emergency you run away from the patient instead of assisting them) left and forgot about me I had to keep coming out asking to get my IV put in an for my medicine that was already order by the physicians my arm I saw several people that I was there before already had IVs and a bed once I finally got my ivy I was sitting in a chair in the hallway Nurses are extremely rude and no compassion to be working in the ER as well as some of the physicians that don't even seem as knowledgeable as you would think

I am currently in emergency at receiving hospital and will tell you now that I am currently getting gang stalked as I am typing this review I am an soon to be a 62 year old woman I got bullied my the hospital police and was to get out because I am homeless and blind that was going kick out a blind person in the cold because I ask for save shelter meanwhile I almost got hit three times by cars I managed to make it to receiving hospital at Detroit medical center was treated horribly by social workers that act like he enjoyed humiliating me telling me to lower my voice when I was nearly speaking this overt gangstalking and community mobbing there is a petition I will get together everyone to sign. I go this everyday since I was fired from my job. So am a target know. Please people this crime to drive a person to a nerves break down or suicidal thoughts is real and people are getting paid to do this.
