Downtown deadwood SD. Cool little place and they say it is haunted. You stay cheap in the off season. Nice little town and a lot of gambling

Your bartender with the red hair and pierced nose was horrendous! She had the worst attitude! My husband and myself came in as tourists during off season , bought a beer and were told by a manager that as long as we were gambling we wouldn't need to pay as long as we got drafts only to be told two times by your bartender that I would have to wait for a cocktail waitress and that if I wanted a beer that I would have to pay. She was very rude! I certainly would not recommend! Look into better help.!Terrible customer service!

Was told my card was declined at front desk went got cash paid
Then my card would Not work because they put so many authorization on it.
Call bank was holiday Easter Sunday then my birthday was told money was there but I was declined for insufficient at desk....... was a l9ng wait to get checked in 2 ladies at desk but only 1 checking in people she was nice buy why so many authorization???
Spoke to front desk again next morning lady I was talking to not helpful and told me she have someone call me back because people at desk are checking in...um so current guest don't matter I guess umm ok .... don't bother this will be my last stay here!!!!
Also heating in room sucks was so cold in room I called front desk she want to send a guy to my room at 2 am ummm N0!!!! Also no fan in bathroom boo
And house keeping extremely loud in am
Not going to spend anymore $ here period.been going to deadwood for 20 years made my birthday stay not great

The hotel is historic, and is fairly well kept for it's age. The furniture in the rooms is not the most comfortable.
I would not recommend eating in Bully's, the hotel restaurant for breakfast. I tried it both mornings and whoever they have cooking is a joke. The first time I got the "classic", which I had eggs, bacon, sourdough toast, and hashbrowns. The eggs were not completely cooked, still clear egg white on the plate, and the toast so burnt to be inedible and mind-blowing to me that they even served it. The coffee was also awful. The bacon and hashbrowns were pretty decent. The 2nd time I ordered a breakfast sandwich which also comes with hashbrowns. Again the toast that was used for the sandwich was burnt as hell and so were the hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were so bad, they broke apart and crumbled. I would rather eat anywhere else for breakfast than here.
I wouldn't be opposed to staying in the hotel again, but I will probably try a different one next time I'm here.
