This church is a loving community full of people willing to help you seek God and grow closer to Him! I attended this church for 4 years while doing my undergrad at Sac State in Sacramento. It was at this church that I decided to become a Christian and give my life to Jesus! The messages were clear and relevant, the fellowship was a ton of fun, and there was always tasty food. The perfect combo to help me seek God and also make deep friendships I still enjoy today even though I've moved away to the east coast since then.

I went to this church without religious background as an undergrad. I felt very loved and welcome by the people here. They were a little strange in that they were way too nice... The Davis church taught me who God is and helped me grow as I became a Christian. I enjoyed the community a lot. We had Bible studies, fun outings, and spent a lot of time in each other's homes for meals and fellowship. They try their best to live out biblical teaching and believe in priesthood of all believers, so members have a lot of opportunities to serve and be discipled. If you are eager to grow or have questions about the validity of Christianity, this is a great church to go to.

Let me ask you this: why does a church need a Yelp page? Is it running a business? And then all the 5 star reviews, a concerted effort for recruiting freshmen and transfer students even before they come on campus?Anyway, for the actual review.Theology remains on the conservative side. Do what you will with this information, as it's neither here nor there in terms of how this would affect me rating it.Say goodbye to any other friends you might want to make and keep at Davis or after you finish at Davis. Your time is basically solely dedicated to the church. During freshman year, you'll be invited to so many events. It's fun! Sure, but that means less time to meet new people. Then after in sophomore, junior, and senior year, you're given more and more responsibilities, it will most likely take away from your chances to befriend people outside the church. If you leave, they'll be too busy to acknowledge you or keep in touch with you. I've seen peers do extremely poorly in their studies from spending so much time at the church. It resulted in some of them failing out or having to take remedial courses.Prepare to feel bad and guilty about yourself, by the way. The church doesn't outright teach on grace through action instead of freely given grace, but there's a lot of peer-pressure. Really perpetuates many to be workaholics to show they "love" the church.Just my experiences. Feel free to browse subreddit /r/GracepointChurch for more criticisms. 1/5 do yourself a favor and join a different church.
