Just signed my daughter up to start at Applegate in the fall! I'm so excited. After working in childcare programs over the past 7 years & looking at so many centers around the area, I was so excited to find a place where both my daughter & I are comfortable. While touring, my daughter immediately wanted down & barely looked back at me while I was speaking with the head teacher. We had seen other centers in which my daughter felt very uncomfortable & did not want to be put down. The teachers seem very relaxed & happy. The children were getting along & seemed very involved in the tasks they were doing. I'm looking forward to fall when my daughter can start.

This is a wonderful place. My son went to this school at 2. He liked here a lot. Though he cried from time to time, because he did not want to leave his mommy, the teachers (Jamie and Michelle) always held him and comforted him. They are so nice and caring. By the way, they have an insanely large playground outside, and a lot (really a lot) of toys inside. Unfortunately, we left Davis after half a year, had to leave this school. I definitely recommend this place if people ask for advice on nursery schools in Davis.

Applegate is a special place. I went there when I was a kid and now my daughter goes and soon my son. It's a play based nursery school with loving teachers. People who genuinely love kids. My daughter loves going to school so much she asks to go on weekends!!
