First time at Holland Medical Eye Center, and last horrible experience you dont feel welcomed.

If you have a high glasses prescription want to get a medical necessity contact lens, I will avoid this place
I should have been qualified for medical necessity for contact lens due to my high glasses prescription.
However when they ran my insurance and said I was not qualified for it. I had to pay the eye prescription check up fee. So I decided to go to different clinics to see if my prescription would qualify for medical necessity for contact lens through my insurance, then two other clinics both said I should have been qualified and were able to offer me medical necessity contact lens for free.

The optometrist was great, very professional and friendly. Front desk staff were nice. However, my appointment was on January 20th of this year. They told me to expect my contacts within a week and they'll let me know when to pick them up. I waited until mid February to reach out. They claimed the contact lens were not there yet because the factories that manufacture the contacts were backed up. I had two different staff members tell me that I will be getting a free box of contacts for waiting so long so this helped me not be so upset about this whole ordeal of waiting on contacts. I was on my last pair and I don't wear glasses in public since they personally annoy me for long periods of time. I waited two more weeks and called them again. They claimed they still didn't have them. Finally, March 1st I get a text they were ready to be picked up. When I get there they told me I owe them a $30 copay even though I already paid for them back in January! They also didn't give me a free box! I told them I do not owe them anything and they claimed that I placed the order on February 13th when I called them about it so I owed a copay. Seriously? They need to get it together. This was disorganization on their part. I understand mistakes happen but they need to do better. They said they will ship the 'free box' they promised to my house but we'll see.

I am overwhelmed by the good experience at Holland Medical Eye Center . The staff is very courteous the place is nice clean big sophisticated technology & Dr Paul Holland is very professional & kind . I've got an eye allergy & Dr Paul Holland know already what kind of medication cream he gonna prescribed. He also check my reading vision. He's down to earth & very pleasing . Thanks to the team .
