image The doctor took the time to address all of our concerns and questions. She seems very experienced with the eczema issues we are facing.

image Wow... I've never encountered such treatment from the support staff in a medical office. Jackie is quite arrogant, unhelpful, and rude. Our insurance plan is not standard (HMO that does not require referrals to specialists), but she will only insist that we are not in network and refuses to help us sort this out, though my insurance provider insists they are in network. She's been short and downright rude about it to both my husband and then myself as we each called and asked for her help in resolving the issue. I guess it's best we learned this now before establishing a relationship with this practice.

Business Response on Google May 20th, 2021
I will preface this by saying that as physicians we are limited regarding how we respond to comments (we cannot even say whether or not we have actually seen the person writing the comment in the office). What I can say is this:1) I wise person once told me that it is always a good idea to wait 24 hours before sending or replying to an angry email. That advice has always stayed with me and has served me well.2) We all have days when we are tired and frustrated - now more than ever.3) People to work in any kind of customer service position are saints. They put up with a lot and do it all day long with a smile. I am personally in awe of them. If they falter and are not as sunny as usual, is that a reason to publicly blast not only that person but also to make a general assumption about their entire office? I certainly hope not because we have all had our moments.4) The covid era has been a long haul and we are all at the end of our ropes. Now more than every we need to remind ourselves to give each other some grace and understanding. We are in this together. If an encounter goes awry and we feel ourselves getting upset, we should remind ourselves that we are all human. Maybe there is a reason. Maybe something is going on that person's life. Maybe they are having a bad day too. Maybe the office was short-handed or crazy-busy or the phones were ringing off the hook.5) I am truly sorry that you had a bad experience on the phone. We look at every comment as a growing experience to see how we can improve. I also know that any frustration that you are voicing is coming from a place of love for your child and trying to care for them as best as you can. I wish nothing but the best for you and your family.

image I have edited my star rating. The first review was 4yrs ago.
My son has been a patient here for over 4 years. We live way out in the country over an hr away. I have been out of the country and my son needed a refill of his medication. I called for a refill and was told no because our year expired Sept 21st. Its October 3rd. They said I would have to make a new appt, rightfully so. I asked could they give me a 30 day supply, even a two week supply to hold him over until we could be seen. We have been established patients for over 4 years. I was told no. They offered an appt today. I wish we could have made it, however, like I initially said, I just made it back to the country, my child was in school, etc. I looked at Dr Carders response to a previous post and she asked for the writer to be understanding with her staff for misc things. I just wish she would do the same for the parents of her pediatric patients, and for her patients as well. She does treat diseases of the skin and I was simply asking for a medication to treat his skin condition. I also agree with her that me writing this as a mother is coming from a place of love. Its also coming from a place as a medical professional though as well. I have been a registered nurse for 20 years. In my entire career, I have yet to meet a physician who would not assist one of their established patients with a 30 day refill. But, I learn something new everyday. While I respect her decision as a provider, we will NEVER be back to this office, nor will I EVER refer anyone as I have done for the last 4 years. My niece was a patient here 19yrs ago. This serves as a heads up to anyone looking for a pediatric dermatologist. I dont utilize her recommendation on waiting 24hrs to say something. I myself wait 72hrs. However, when people show you who they are, dont get mad, just take note and move on. No need to wait. Empathy is 100% preached but not practiced at this office. Save yourself some time, look elsewhere.
Went in for an appointment and was told it was the 1st of the following month. I almost fainted as we drove an hour to get there. They said but its ok. Nurse was kind and and energetic. Dr. Carder was super nice, understanding and knowledgeable! When we went to check out the receptionist had my sons school note already printed out and we paid and were on our way! Super super office! Kudos to you and your team Dr. Carder!
