image I live in an apartment (Pinecone in FoCo) managed by Lincoln. They have the pool shut down for renovations and are not being communicative about when/if it will re-open. We asked for an update twice in a month and got a really wild response threatening to not allow us to use the pool when it re-opens if we didn't stop asking.
Editing to add my full correspondence history:
5/16/23
Pinecone emails community:
Good afternoon Pinecone Residents!
We are emailing today to inform you that the pool, spa, and grill area will be closed starting today so we can drain the pool and spa before we they are resurfaced. The entire area will be closed during the time for safety due to the construction. This will more than likely go through Memorial Day, but we will send an email out when the pool is open again as we will also be setting up new pool furniture, and having a re-opening party for the pool area.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but appreciate your patience as we continue to improve the property.
Thank you!
6/7/23 (3 weeks closed)
I emailed:
Whats going on with the pool? Any updates, estimates, etc? Doesnt look like anything is happening.
6/8/23:
Logan emailed:
Good morning,
The pool is being worked on as we speak. As with any construction it is not done immediately or continuously, especially with weather. We will let everyone know when it is open.
Thank you.
6/8/23:
I emailed:
Thanks so much for explaining how construction works
6/18/23: (4 weeks closed)
I emailed:
Hi, can we get more updates about the status of pool construction?
6/19-ish
My husband also e-mailed requesting an update and called it ridiculous due to the lack of communication. My husband and I did not coordinate and didn't know we both followed up. At this point there have been ZERO updates from Pinecone since 5/16.

Logan emails:
We understand it is frustrating, and it is on our end as well, but the weather is the main factor. Since they are resurfacing, they are unable to do that if it is raining, and they have to go in the order of the job schedule, which means the rain delayed everything and pushed back all projects and is why it is taking them so long to get caught up.
We unfortunately have no control over how the pool renovations are performed based off of the weather (with rainfall happening nearly every day for the past month) their work, and their schedule as well. The consistent and rude emails being sent to us by the two of you (i.e. "This is ridiculous" and "Thank you so much for explaining how construction works") about the pool reopening need to end immediately, or you will not be allowed access to the pool area going forward. I have informed my manager of this conversation as well.
As stated previously, we will be sure to inform all residents right when the pool area is back open and completed, meaning all resurfacing for pool/hot tub is done, and the new pool furniture is put together and placed outside.
Thank you,
6/20 4:15pm
Pinecone emails community:
Good afternoon valued residents!
We wanted to reach out today to update you on some information regarding renovations and the clubhouse.
First of all, our clubhouse is back open and we are back in the office! Second, we are working as hard as we can to get the pool area finished and back open, but due to the abnormal amount of rain we received, the work was delayed for multiple weeks. We are working as hard as we can to get it completed as soon as possible, and will still be having a pool party when it is open and our new furniture is out as well!
Over the next few months you will see even more renovations coming to the property, so if you have any questions regarding them then please let us know. We are doing our best to improve the community and appreciate all of your patience, understanding, and kindness during this difficult process.
Have a great day!

image This is addressed to Michael Babineaux of Lincoln Property Company. Michael, as the regional property manager, we tenants hold you to high standards and what happened today was very very disappointing with all due respect!
I am supposed to be moving into a new apartment unit at Park West Apartments (Dallas) tomorrow June 20th and out of the blue, I get a call today June 19 @ around 11:00am telling me that this apartment is not ready for move in tomorrow. Literally less than 24 hours before I'm supposed to move in!
Mark you, I signed this lease with Park West over two months ago!! I already have contracts signed with electricity, WiFi & insurance for that start date, movers supposed to be coming in and other deliveries scheduled for tomorrow!
To make matters worse, I called Michael's office several times to ask for an explanation and even left several voicemails which were ignored. In fact, the reception kept promising that he was still at lunch and will call back to no avail (surely 6 hours from 12:00pm - 6:00pm is more than enough to get back to a tenant in an emergency situations like such)
Michael then proceeds to give us two options:
1. Extend our current lease at our current unit at Park West to
July 15
2. Or cancel the lease I'd signed and move out of current unit by
June 24
Moving out by June 24 is literally 5 days from today which is totally ridiculous because we have other life commitments such as work and can't just drop everything and start apartment hunting when this is absolutely not our fault!
For something that is not our fault at all, Michael Babineaux is putting us in a position where he knows we are going to have to extend because of the short notice or risk being homeless. And on top of that, we're absolutely required to pay rent for the duration of that extension even though this is Lincoln Property Company's fault, and not ours.
Totally unfair, ridiculous and horrible management to be honest! Please do something about this Michael because this is just unfair!

image Whoever is their receptionist or the person that answers their direct calls, is extremely rude and passive aggressive, I hope she was just having a bad day and is not how she actually talks to people who are just inquiring for help on a daily basis...yikes.

image Unfortunately, I am stuck in an apartment that is infested with fruit flies and bees. I have been a resident at City Parc at the Ranch in Lafayette, Louisiana for three years. The office staff an maintenance have done a good job reaching out to pest control. I have requested to move out ASAP as I am highly allergic to bees, the fruit flies are coming from the windows, vents, cracks in the plank flooring, through the cracks in the door and my closet. I have had to move out some of my furniture due to this issue. Flies have been found inside of my refrigerator and cabinets. No matter how much I clean the issue gets worse. My original move out is July 31st, & it was moved up to July 21st. Which is no help & simply means I will be paying for the month of July and I will not be living inside of the apartment due to the infestation. Pest control has tried everything.
I have attempted to reach out to the company but no help. Just for reference, I set traps for 24 hours to see if I can catch any. I have included photos to this post. Miserable & very unfortunate & disgusting experience.
