Pay attention to the reviews. The new management is no better than the old. We put down our deposit in May, 2021. They did not review or provide a lease until July, waited two weeks before our move-in to tell us that we no longer have a parking space AND will be charging more monthly than what we signed for. They are impossible to reach and I’ve heard every excuse in the book as to why.NOBODY is doing their job or seeing anything through. RUN FROM THIS PLACE.

Be careful when applying here. They lied to my son about the deposit situation when he put in his application. They said the verification process would take 3-4 days to get approved. He has to move within a 7 day period. It took them way longer than 3-4 days to approve him. Once they reached out to him (7 days later) they asked for 6 months bank statements even though he provided his last 3 paycheck stubs. He already found a new place to live and they are now refusing to refund his $300 deposit. They literally stole a 22 year olds hard earned money.

I have lived in the Merc for almost 6 years and though it has never been a perfect place to live in, within the past two years the service has declined terribly and the lack of commitment of the management company is very obvious. I will not enumerated the list of problems we have in oue buildings because I am sure everybody else has done it before me.
However, this review is not about the building or the management company in general but about one single human being, who in my opinion is the only person with an impecable work ethics and trasparency within the management team.
This person is Shaun Ross.
He will do everything possible to help you as much as he can. He will take the time to listen to your problems and help you find a solution to it that will satifiy both parties.
He is so pleasant to deal with, he will welcome you into his office even if it's just to say hello.
Unfortunately there is only so much he can do and he will not be able to help with the deterioration of the buildings that Brookfield manages, but will still let you express yourself without shutting you down like other of his colleagues.
He might be the only reason why we haven't moved out earlier.
Also, Vasti is relatively new to the building but she is always very nice to deal with.
Other than that, as long as Brookfield is not willing to take a hard long look at what's going on here and find pratical and papable solutions to solve the problems, you might want to build your nest somewhere else.
