image At first glance, this place seems sketchy on the outside and small on the inside; but don't be fooled! Many of us know big things come in small packages and Sams Italian Villa is a wonderful example. This place is very charming on the inside and the staff are polite, prompt, and accommodating. The food is incredible, absolutely delicious, and gratuitous in quantity. You get every bit you pay for. I recommend the Marco Polo with extra meat. This is my number one stop to eat when I visit this area from here on out.

image I ordered the alfredo with chicken and a side of mushrooms. Excellent food, and not too pricey. Definely recemond.

image Generally I wouldn't feel compelled to write a review about a restaurant but long story short DO NOT EAT HERE! I wish giving zero stars was an option as I've never been so disappointed in the overall quality of food as I was with this place tonight.
The servers were kind and did their job proficiently and my complaint is not with them. However, the food is so low in quality I felt it my duty to warm others. You WILL pay a premium price at Sam's Italian Villa and you will get Sam's Club quality food.. literally.
My family of 7 mostly started with the "house salads" that came with the meal we ordered. The salads were clearly the bagged variety you buy in a grocery store and had obviously been a bag that was left out too long as the lettuce as brownish and limp. I had ordered the soup of the day with my meal which as beef barley, it had many pieces of beef but about 90% of them were super fatty chunks as if they trimmed the fat off something then decided to use the trimmings to make beef soup.
The main course arrived and my Lasagna was ice cold in the center and it was obvious that it had simply been microwaved, they took it back and instead of making me a new piece properly they simply stuck it back into the microwave for at least 5+ minutes. When they brought this steaming pile back it was the same piece and was so hot that I couldn't attempt to eat it for 10 minutes, and when I did take a bite it about made me throw up, microwaved so long it transformed into something I couldn't describe. Another family member ordered the liver and onions, her liver was as dry as a desert and it made me thirsty simply looking at that dry lump of meat so overcooked the cook should have been beaten with the leather they created.
Finally we come to my children's meals, "happy face fries" were clearly bagged fries and microwaved, and corn dogs... Foster's brand to be exact as it stated as such on the sticks.. the same stuff you buy from WalMart.
I asked to speak to a manager and I was referred to the owner, who was sitting chatting with other customers. I introduced myself and tried to have a conversation about my families meal, I had mentioned about the blatant use of frozen foods and he then stood up in a huff and FORCED me to walk back through his kitchen (which violates numerous health codes bringing random customers through your kitchen which it is serving a dinner service) to show me that the Lasagna was not frozen (which I never claimed the lasagna to have been frozen). He brings me through the kitchen, which was so dirty there is absolutely no way it could pass a health inspection, into the walk-in cooler (which was also staggeringly filthy) to show me the lasagna that I was served. It was completely uncovered and had not been covered in days as it was dried up and crusty in the pan and it was obvious (to anyone that has ever worked in a kitchen you can tell how old something is by looking at it) this lasagna had been cooked 3-5 days prior "by his wife yesterday" bullshit sir, bullshit!
After that I tried to explain to him that I had been a cook for several years and I easily know the difference between quality product and cheap frozen crap. To which his reply was something that Gordon Ramsey had heard in almost every episode of Kitchen Nightmares "We serve these products and no one ever complains", we saw at least 4 tables complain about their food in the hour we was there! Even the servers there disclosed to me that the owner hears complaints all the time and changes nothing.
If you've read this review until the end I can only hope you have the sense I didn't and GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!!!! Unless you are really wanting to pay $13 for 4 day old lasagna that tastes horrible. And if the owner reads this or any health officials I urge you to do something about the condition of the kitchen and food storage areas of this establishment as I promise you if Gordon Ramsey was at your restaurant tonight he would have shut down this service for use for health code violations.
