The View Cafe is situated on the side of the mountain on Highway 95 halfway between Sandpoint and Hayden. I’ve been passing this joint for the last year, always driving by at 70 mph and saying to myself - “dang it, I should stop in there one day!”
Well friends, today was that day, and I have found my new destination for Lunch from now on, whenever I’m in the area. (They’re also open for Breakfast 7am!) I enjoyed the Prime Rib French Dip on a Ciabatta Roll, and oh my, one of the Best Sandwiches I’ve ever had!!
Delectable 🤗 That, and I was lucky enough to have Nicole serve me. Capable, competent, easygoing, friendly, and pretty to boot, she made my stop here worth the while! (All the other hard-working gals I saw fit the bill as well;)
So do yourselves a favor, and stop on in for a great meal, friendly conversations and happy smiles across the miles...

We were traveling to Montana and passed this place. The food is fantastic. My wife ordered breakfast and I ordered a veggie patty sandwich as well as garlic fries. I loved the fries. And the service is super friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Great food and the staff is excellent! Big portion breakfasts, and that is the biggest and best tasting chicken fried steak ever! Omelets are always perfect, and their homemade biscuits are amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant 👌
