I just was moved by North Coast Movers today from Shaker Hts to Lakewood and it truly couldn't have gone better! From the first call a little over a week ago to the estimate to the move itself they took extremely good care of my family. The crew that moved us couldn't have been nicer or more professional!! I highly recommend them!!

Everyone from the office to the movers were all professional and courteous. Move was smooth and was happy with the care they took to move the stuff.
There was one problem of a couple of broken tiles on my fireplace hearth. But it was immediately taken care of. If I have a need in the future for their service, I will call them again.

Solid job overall. Two complaints prevent a much better rating. First, they took lunch without telling me. I don't mind at all that they took lunch, but not letting me know meant I was waiting for them in an empty house for 45 minutes. If they had just told me, I could have gotten some things done. Second, they tried to take my headboard down the steps without fully disassembling it first which led to a) 40 minutes of time wasted (a little irritating when they charge by the hour) and b) they broke my hand railing and didn't repair it. I don't think I would use them again

After hiring NorthCoast for an out-of-state move, the company took custody of our household possessions and moved them into their temperature-controlled storage facility. All of our furnishings, including our Oriental rug, were in excellent condition, clean, and moth-free prior to the move. Attached is a photo of our rug (which had been on our living room floor for 20 years without a moth issue) prior to the move.
When our possessions were delivered to our new residence, the rug was infested with live moth larvae and could not be salvaged. Much of our furniture was delivered unwrapped or partially wrapped and showed evidence of moth activity. Attached are photos of the rug upon delivery.
In addition, we discovered that a number of items that had been placed in NorthCoasts custody were missing from the moving truck.
The company owner promised to make us whole and advised us to file a claim for damages. Following our submission of all requested documentation, NorthCoast denied our claim, asserting that our furnishings must have had a moth issue prior to the company taking custody of them. The company also relies on the terms of a standard Storage Agreement, which it claims absolves it of all damage to a consumers property, even when it has taken custody of the property as part of a contract to safely and carefully handle and move the consumers possessions from one location to another.
As for the missing items, NorthCoast never acknowledged our communications regarding the items and completely ignored our requests to search their facility for the missing property.
We are out-of-pocket thousands of dollars due to NorthCoasts failure to properly care for and deliver our property.
