This is by far the worst VA facility in America. As an inpatient checking in they will take all of your medications without inventory. And if you are a mental health patient be prepared to be totally ignored. The providers sit in booths and care absolutely nothing for what is occuring in the facility. They care nothing about patients. The entire experience was literally mind boggling when you witness that the workers are far more concerned about what they're planning to do on their time off. It is a facility that will be reported to the Office Of Mental Health with descriptions of wholly inadequate and inappropriate care for Veterans suffering from mental illness and other related issues. They will confiscate whatever medication that you bring with you, including over-the-counter meds you paid for and will not return them at discharge. They will give you a limited quantity of meds but will not return your over-the-counter medication. They also confiscated a controlled substance from me and didn't return any of it. And they reduced the dosages of medications I was previously prescribed by my home VA Hospital. They also kept personal possessions of mine. This is a thoroughly corrupt VA Hospital and needs investigated by the Office Of The Inspector General. This has been requested. No Veterans should be subjected to inadequate and possibly criminal treatment by a bunch of useless providers who care about nothing except the coming weekend when they will be off duty.

These guys will sort out anything you need semi quickly and if they cant they will refer you to an outside source.

I am a 60 year old veteran, I severed 9.5 years. I am very grateful for the Chillicothe VA, they have helped me in every way Ive asked and theyve always treated me with dignity. Thank you for helping veterans!

Avoid at all costs, especially mental health and the bronze team if assigned. Dr Nnoli & Nurse practioner Alex Wolfe will off the bat accuse you of opiod abuse if you state any reason for being in pain. Even if you have images proving you disabilities. They will down play your symtoms and even include mp's if you challenge their "Authority". Mental health is even worse. They will ignore you and not listen to a word you have to say. They will force their own modality of treatment down your throat even if you have proof of medication that already works for you.
