I called and called and called different consulate in the US and no one answered and Filipinos are still the same everywhere. The only reliable Filipinos are the ones working menial jobs but Phil government workers are either not available or just plain lazy...or better yet ...please improve your system because it is stupid.

I just want to share our experience and I got anxiety reading all the negative reviews before coming at the Consulate . We had our appointment scheduled Jan. 31 for my daughter's renewal of her passport. We are amazed of how the people at the consulate asist us they are polite they asist you very well and it was fast since we are the only family who they assisted that time maybe about 15-20mins we are done! And i suggest maybe before coming to the consulate you have to visit there website. Then search what you needed and then follow all the guidelines before coming and ready all the requirements that you need to bring like original copies photo copies of the documents that is required on your request you can see that on there website and don't forget to set an appointment. And if something that you missed to bring I am sure they will do there best to help, like us we are not able to bring a address sticker? I forget how they call it that is for our USPS envelope but they were able to help us were to find and get it and luckily it was just in the same building. And we are done.Thanks! to Richard the first person who assisted us and to everyone at the Consulate they are great people.

If only there were zero stars. Useless customer service and a very rude old man at the customer hotline. With the amount of bad reviews here, I hope they fix the system. But what is the fruit is probably also the tree. Imagine I'm still at the phil consulate in LA inquiring because of the useless customer service here. lol

I had to travel for six hours to update my passport with my married name, a year after my wedding. The staff at the passport office were very courteous, helpful and cheerful. They processed my application quickly and efficiently. I expect to receive my new passport in one or two months.
I wore a brown turtle neck long-sleeved top and black leggings for the trip.
These are the documents I submitted for the passport change:
*Report of Marriage not more than a year of wedding. Be sure you have PSA rom original copy of marriage. So please order yours.
*Old brown passport
*Greencard
*Appointment confirmation
Make a copy of all the original.
