Unbelievable horrible service. Came here to celebrate a birthday with friends. When we first walked in, I thought to myself that this was a pretty nice and classy looking atmosphere. When we first sat down, we were greeted and was told that the menu was changing and they don't sell something with watermelon, and some other ethnic types of food. At first I was thinking to myself that I did not here what I thought I heard so I asked my wife did she catch what he said and she stated yes. We ignored it just thinking whateva. We proceeded to continue to look at the menu to make a order. Our waiter (Alex)left and never came back for about 15 minutes. No one ever came over to check on our table until it was time to order. As we were waiting on our order my wife and I were laughing and talking she took a drink of her water and almost swallowed a piece of broken glass in her water. Explained to (Alex) that my wife found a piece of glass in her drink. We did not get any type of explanation. At this point my wife was very upset. We drove 1 1/2 hrs to this establishment and was very hungry. Not one time did they offer any type of complimentary discount. My wife was very skeptical about eating her meal after this. I was already hungry and had not eaten since about 11 am that day, so I ate my food. I told them to pack my wife food to go and we left without tipping. The good thing about this matter was I Groupon the restaurant for the meal so I didn't pay full price for the meal. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They are racist, and are proud to show it. Only reason why they get 1 star is because I can't do a review without a star. Hint: I am a person of color that have been to many 5 star restaurants and this is not one of them. If you are planning to dine here, go somewhere else that is worth your money with better service.

Hidden gem in the neighborhood! This place usually offers a Groupon deal or equivalent. Quaint, fine-dining experience with attentive staff and delicious food. The menu does not disappoint.

Mediocre at best...Maybe they're transitioning between chefs? We were not impressed. I would definitely steer clear of the muscles, we had to spit them out. Crab cakes were the only thing we enjoyed"

The homemade blueberry muffins that are served with the lemon spread are fantastic! They were an excellent treat to have with our coffee while we were waiting for our food to come out. I had the buttermilk pancakes which could appear boring in comparison to all the other dishes on the menu, but they were wonderful! They tasted like there was a touch of vanilla and also like the griddle had butter melted on it before the pancake batter was poured -- it had that slightly crisp edge that's so delicious. The coffee wasn't very good and the service was pretty slow, but the tasty food was worth it.

The bread pudding was decent, and the wine was ok. However, the owner is appalling. He had no problem spewing his drunk racist hate about the people in the neighborhood to new customers sitting at the bar. The things he said about people of color in the neighborhood made me regret ever walking in the door. Seriously, if you are going to support a local restaurant, go somewhere else. This man does not deserve your business.
