I had the fortunate opportunity to work with Adelmo Matias and hire Matias Construction LLC for the refinishing of 4 wooden outside roof decks on our condo building on Racine Ave. The crew of four worked diligently through a long day and were able to replace some rotted deck planks, sand the decks to clear wood and apply two coats of stain in one day! More importantly, this crew of four were polite, respectful, quiet, professional and very hard working. They even stained the edges of the deck planks to seal all the areas of plank subject to weathering. Matias Construction provided workers comp and general liability insurance and their pricing was also good. I found Adelmo through Angie's list because we are relatively new to Chicago and compared proposals from the contractors provided on Angie's list. The four proposals were very competitive and Matias was priced very slightly lower than the others. More importantly, when Adelmo came to measure the decks to price the proposal, he pointed out end rot in a couple of planks and he suggested those two deck planks be replaced. And he was right, after he left I dug into the rot and found the end of the plank was rotted through. So there were no surprises or change orders when they came to do the work. Now that I know that Matias Construction also does indoor as well as outdoor painting - I know where to go next time without going to Angie's list! Service: Exterior decorating

We have been working with Adelmo for the past few weeks on 2 big projects. So far we have been very impressed. They are restoring our deck and it looks great and also just beginning our kitchen. His team is always on time, courteous, and do great work! So glad we found this company!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

True professionalism from start to finish. I met with Adelmo the very day I reached out to him so he may see the work that needed to be done at one of our properties (drywall removal and replace with new), patching, sanding and painting of the new drywall install. It was a pretty hefty project They were able to complete it all in a couple days and it looked great! Adelmo and his team are top notch! Will definitely keep him in mind for other projects, whether it be at one of our properties or our home.
