image Custom Service is not relavant here. I upgraded my phone a few weeks ago. The reason for the upgrade was solely based on the battery life, and was directed to the Pixel as the best option. Within 4 hours of getting the new phone I returned to the store stating that there is something wrong with the phone as it had drained 40% in that time. I was told it takes some time for the phones to transfer data which drains the battery. I returned again after a few days to be told it takes up to a week for the phone battery to level off.
I went in again after two weeks and was directed to OJ who told me I would have to pay $50 to change the phone. When I questioned the charge, I receieved multiple eye rolls and hands to the face saying that is what Verizon charges. At this point, I requested to talk to a manager, Kevin, who told me it is written in the contract and there is nothing anyone can do. I explained numerous times that it was a defective phone and not something I should be charged for. I asked him SEVERAL times to think about the situation and it is not where I dislike the phone, it is a problem with that individual phone battery. Kevin stood firm with his comment of it is written in the contract and there is nothing anyone can help with.
After leaving the store, I called Verizon Customer Service. Not only did they get it resolved immediately (sending out a new phone same day), they waived all the fees that were "written and non-negotiable". In addition, they gave more discounts as well. They were incredibly helpful.
There is a reason for all the recent 1 star reviews as the location is staffed by people who do not care (Kevin and OJ). It is a shame that some employees cannot think past a script and give a personal feel to help make a customer happy if something goes awry. If a senior level manager would like to discuss further, please feel free to reach out.
