This is a good office but with some very, very bad apples. Russell Mansfield is a great financial advisor, but he doesn't have a good supporting staff around him especially when it comes to his commodities division. Doug Etheridge is an individual who only cares about himself and his own benefit when it comes to his client relationships. You could be hedged improperly as a producer or lose your shirt as a speculator and he'll turn a blind eye. Put simply, he doesn't have your best interests. He's even worse when it comes to hiring talent to help out his operations. He'll reach out to you and show promise that you'll get a shot onboard, and then out of nowhere he'll be completely unheard of again, always being out of the office and never available. HEY DOUG HERE'S A THOUGHT! Maybe if you were a guy who actually kept his word and showed genuine concern for his reputation, accountability and responsibilities towards others, you'd actually find some young guys who'd be willing to work for you and go into futures as a career choice, but until you make that change, less and less people are going to want to do business with you and absolutely NO ONE on this Earth would ever want to work for you.

This is an outstanding office staffed by a team of true professionals. I speak from personal experience here - this office is where I began my first job in the business. An individual I want to highlight in particular is Doug Etheridge. Doug is a star at RBC, and has repeatedly shown himself to be the kind of man who helps out anyone he can with no questions asked. Years ago, Doug was kind enough to take a chance on me with an internship, and he has selflessly stayed in touch and been a mentor to me ever since. I constantly find myself thinking about and employing the lessons I learned working for him, as he led by example every single day in going above and beyond for each of his clients. In short - I can’t say enough good things about the character all of the people here, and I can’t think of anyone better to learn from about such a complex and challenging industry. Based on my own experience, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that there is not a single other office in the country that I would go to for services that are so critically important to our lives.
