If you've lived in Charlotte for a long time you know Summerour was *the* place for all things lighting back in the day. Father sold the business to the son a few years ago and it is now a disaster. I took two antique jars in to be made into lamps. It was supposed to take two weeks. They don't follow up or return calls, totally rude when you do get through on the phone, they aren't open on Saturdays consistently, and they randomly close for days on end. I was pretty resigned that I might never see my jars again. When I finally picked up my lamps months later, one of the sockets was visibly completely bent and unusable. Minor but also the building is un air-conditioned and otherwise something out of a horror movie, complete with flies. I cannot stress enough AVOID this place.

Best customer service EVER! Knowledgeable, and very fast service. Repaired a lamp that I was sure was a goner. Don't let small shop fool you. Professional and reasonable cost. Jennifer is the best! If you don't see it in shop, just ask....they have it! Lighting needs and or repairs, this is the shop you are looking to engage.

The staff is so helpful and the owner Paul is a delight! I thought I'd have to trash a treasured floor lamp but they repaired it and it's good as new!
