Could not get drink refills..asked for ice, guy brought a glass of ice and literally dumped it in my glass instead of bringing a fresh glass of ice tea. Shrimp had tails left on them...mac and cheese served without red relish, when I asked for it the 12 year old serving us looked at me like I was crazy...the relish is the greatest topper that sets off the taste of the mac and cheese there! Really? Where is the establishment that got rave reviews in a national magazine a few short years ago?????? Sad!

We went to Aquavina on a Tuesday night at 7pm with a party of 4. It took ten minutes for anyone to even greet us when we walked in the door, which gave us time to figure out what was going on with the decor. They tried to mismatch to be hip, but fell short and just made the atmosphere awkward and uncomfortable. After the hostess finally noticed us standing there, she said she had to clear a table, which took another 5-10 minutes (and there were at least four other tables that needed to be cleaned). I can understand if they were short staffed, but at times we saw the servers huddled together, just talking; and what appeared to be the manager just walking around aimlessly, occasionally throwing a table cloth on an empty table. After we were seated, it took over ten minutes for anyone to come to our table. When the server finally came over, she threw down glasses of water (with no ice and in bar glasses), and apologized because she, "didn't know this table was hers". Instead of greeting us, explaining the specials or asking us if we cared for some wine or an appetizer, she simply said, "do you want anything besides water?" followed by "what would you like?". It took forever to just get bread on the table, and when the entree was delivered, the filet was fatty, and not cooked properly. It looked as though they attempted to butterfly it with a butter knife and gave up. The rest of the entrees were exceptional. It took forever to get the check, and to get them back after providing our credit cards. When leaving the hostess made eye contact, but just brushed past us without a word. The staff at Aquavina is horrible, I've gotten better service at chain restaurant on a busy weekend. Normally we tip 20%+, but I was almost compelled to not tip at all, and only did because of the price of the meal. They have no excuse for the poor service we received, and despite most of the food being amazing, we will never go back because of it.
