If you want to be apart of a chamber that will support you, help inform you and spread the news on what you do then this is the one. You'll fine no finer staff members who take their roles in supporting their members seriously and being authentic with their approach in doing so.
Reading the previous reviews I was puzzled when others mentioned not being welcoming to minorities.
This is the furthest thing from the truth. I myself am a minority and have dealt with my fair share of racism and experienced prejudice behaviors/remarks first hand due to my skin tone/heritage.
This chamber has went above and beyond to ensure that I feel welcomed, that my work is mentioned wherever appropriate and much more. Their inclusivity in my opinion is far ahead of many.
I've witnessed them treat everyone equally from different parts of the world, nation, and abilities.
So before you make any judgements on them based on previous reviews, or even mine. Go to one of their ribbon cuttings, chamber events and talk to the staff. You'll learn that what these words are only but a small reflection to how great they are.

image Horrible. They don't want anyone that is beneficial. They push away all the minorities and support who they want. 4 business I know have been on the back burner than pushed away. They are not a good fit for bringing people together.

Hello, Lilly, and thank you for your review. Our mission at the Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce is to foster a healthy and thriving local business community. The Chamber exists to be a resource for the community, and the businesses within it. The benefits of being in the Chamber are the same for each of our members, and it's up to the members to decide the utilize those benefits. We would certainly not push a business owner away, especially not due to them being a minority. It goes directly against what the Chamber is. It's disheartening to hear that some of our members feel this way, and if there's something we can do to ease this tension please give us a call so we can learn more about what led to this and see if there are specific areas where we can improve and be a better resource for everyone in our community.
